I saw Morrison vs Lewis recently. Lewis was at his best, and played it jab and defense early coached by Manny Steward.. Tommy did a decent job working the body with his disadvantages. Timing can mean a lot. Are we talking about the 1992 Bowe that dominated Holyfield, or the 1996 Bowe who Golota slapped around?

Morrison vs Bowe almost happened after Morrison beat Foreman. The truth is Bowe's manager didn't want it.

If Bowe was so easy to drop, how come it's only been done three times? lol

True...plus, gee, Bowe only lost one fight in his pro career, a fight that I and more than a few others feel he won.

Ah! Sanity returns. Can't agree with you about Bowe's loss though. I thought he was hopelessly outboxed and thought he was lucky to have that one judge vote a draw.

I can't see Morrison beating the Bowe of 93...though the latter began losing interest shortly after winning the title, at this stage he was still best in the world imo. If Mercer wrecked him, Bowe would have done the same.

Just my opinion, and I respect yours quite a bit, @Mendoza

It was without question a much closer fight than the first, or third for that matter. So close I can't put up much of an argument on that point, my friend.

I agree, it was closer, but I felt that as thrilling as all three of their fights were, that the victory was always clean-cut and undisputable.

@NoNeck I think this is about as accurate an idea of how that fight would go as there could be. Great imagery, that sure sounds like Bowe! The Brownsville streetfighter.

Bowe, imo, is one of those "Toney Type" fighters were the ability they're capable of isn't always what we saw in their prime.

    But that doesn't matter here.

Bowe will take everything Morrisons has to offer and at some point will land his own hooks and end the fight.

Even the worst version of Bowe would beat the best version of Morrison imo.

Not sure why people compare Morrison with Hide as when on form he was almost certainly the better of the two. Bowe by mid round stoppage, but not without one or two scares thrown in.
    Bowe TKO 7 Morrison.

Golota was always a wildcard, it's tough to gauge how good boxers were based on how well they did against him.

I suppose the real question is, how hard does Bowe train and how much effort does he put into the fight? If he's coasting, Tommy probably has a chance of knocking Bowe around round 6, or he gasses out and gets knocked by Bowe around round 7-8. If Bowe trains like Clubber Lang and gives the fight his all, Tommy gets completely blown out, and it's not even close. Tommy and Big Daddy Bowe aren't in the same league, as shown by Bowe's first fight with Holyfield.
