Why do they need to shut him up? Nobody is listening to him in the first place. It's not like the guy is on ESPN and Sports Illustrated making people think, "wow, this guy is a bad ass. Why won't anybody fight him?". He's on fringe boxing sites with an audience of a few hundred...max. What's in it for the Klits? If anything, they'll come under more criticism for choosing to fight him than for choosing not to fight him.

 

Because that is what Boxing is about! Who is on ESPN or SI? They don't even sell Ring Magazine at the majority of newsstands or bookstores. Boxing is a fringe sport. Anytime a guy gets paid $20-50 million and it isn't front page news? The sport is fringe. Toney is like Mayorga. If he is talking too much? Shut him up. That is what Boxing is about.

You ask what is in it for the Klits? James Toney is an ATG and a first ballot HOFer. If you ask that silly question YDKSAB. Looking at the rest of the Klits' competition, smearing James Toney on the canvas won't tarnish their legacy. Chisora? Briggs? Sosnowski?
