Anyone have any thoughts? Anyone give Toney a shot? It's probably wishful thinking but I do... Guys is a natural, and he's as smart a fighter as they come. But I'm probably wrong. Any input? (I could do without the McDonalds, Burger King, Fatty McFats, etc jokes)
I can see Couture standing with Toney for the 1st three minutes, Couture will think oh **** then probably taking Toney down and wrestling him until the end of the 1st round and then demolishing him in the second round
He has a chance to, I agree. People forget how easy MMA fighters are to time. Look at Fedor, his last 2 fights, he's timed guys and put them down with punches. Yeah, last time he got carried away and got himself submitted, but none the less he timed and counterpunched that guy to the ground. The difference there is, Toney's punches would've landed cleaner and KOed the guy instead. If Couture tries to throw with Toney at any point, he gets KOed.
I don't mean stand and trade, i mean a few jabs or hooks will be thrown but nothing solid, then couture will take Toney down
Ok, I see what you mean. Personally however, I think every punch Couture throws, he's unnecessarily doubling Toney's chances of winning. Every punch is an opening for Toney to counter and knock Couture TFO. If Couture fights the right gameplan, he doesn't bother throwing anything at all, but takes Toney down immediately. Then its just a matter of, if Toney can catch him with anything big as he's coming in for the takedown, if not Toney's done. If theres ANY portion of the fight where Couture tries to see what Toney has, and stands and throws anything at him at all, Toney has a very very good chance of landing something big and calling it an early night. I just don't see a fighter as smart as Couture doing that. Just my opinion.
I don't see the fight ending if it goes to the ground.Sure Couture has the advantage there but like I said, Toney is natural athlet, very strong and has a granit chin. He was very good in football too and learns very fast.Toney will be preapred and not one dimensional. I mean this Couture guy is 46 years old.He is fighting a guy who has about 90 professional fights and who will be calm and collected in the octagon, just waiting to KO Couture if he comes in.

U know that left hook he knocked out Jason Robinson with?? he lands one of those, even a grazing shot, and couture would be on the floor bleeding and convulsing like an infantile ******.
toney has to throw the upper cut followed by a straight and then left hook.at least becaue he want kick he want go down just as easy.toney is strong but randy is wrestling strong and theres a difference.i dont like the match up they could have gave toney the last guy to beat kimbo.but toney has said himself he only wanted the big fights.
