Hurting and knocking someone out are two totally different things. I picked Toney by T/KO if the fight happens but if it does and he does not KO Harrison who has one of the 5 worst Chins in Boxing right now that does not look good for James Toney and his power or his 11% KO rate at Heavyweight.
OK...A straight KO, I dobut that will happen, but a TKO definitley! Depending on if Audley fights or runs will be the question and the main reason why or why not a KO or TKO would take place. Real talk.....Toney isn't gonna be KOing a lot of Heavies...it's just not gonna happen, but guys who do have suspect chins and are weak to the body or weak mentally, JT can definitley take their heart and frustrate the hell out of them to the point where they quit. Holy wasn't really "KO'd"....he was broken down by GREAT body work which James is a master at. He was able to buzz Rock who doesn't have a great chin either, but if you noticed it was the 10 or 11th straight right hand that landed flush that finally made Hasims legs buckle. Any other HW would have KOd Rock by the 2nd or 3rd flush straight right....If not the very 1st flush shot. James is purely getting by and staying competitive on his skills....the better shape the man enters the ring the better chance that he has at adding KO #2 at HW to his ledger and Audley makes that more of a reality than most think.
I have been critical of James at Heavyweight but I think Audley's chin is bad enough for Toney to straight KO him for a 10 count. James is crafty and will find Harrison's Glass Jaw at least a few times in the fight. The two steroid suspensions and Toney looking like a Bowler instead of a Boxer have turned me off of him at Heavyweight but he still has skills but his time is running out fast. Either way if the fight happens I am supporting Toney to win by KO.
I agree with you bro.....I've been dishartened myself with the steriods issues with JT at HW. But the skills are still there and although he's older now (very old for a HW) I still think he can still pull out a couple of nice wins at HW....winning a title??? Eh.....Don't know about that unless Oleg comes back or Rock grabs a belt by some amazing chance. Right now you see JT slowing...both in offense and Defense. He's been getting hit more, although still not very often....But the punches he is taken are from men much larger than he. So time is ticking and JT needs to stay active...the more active JT is the better IMO.
I understand your point, but Hasim has only been KOd by 3 men...OLEG TUA and Lewis...to say any other HW would have KOd him is a stretch, he's been in with a lot of HW and he has been hit. I know he doesn't have the worlds best chin, but so far only 3 of the HWs he's faced have been able to crack it....and not only that, he's supposed to be shot to...not too bad for a shot fighter.
No we wouldn't all agree...all it would prove is that he did not score a KO on that night...it does not erase all evidence of his power, that has previously been shown. You'd do better to continue the debate where it was, rather than to start it all over again...trying to use the same points.
:good He is also more likely to test positive for steroids than score a KO. He has an 11% KO rate at Heavyweight and a 22% positive steroid test rate at Heavyweight. :rofl
Of course Toney is not a big puncher at HW. How could he be, he's a natural SMW/LHW with HW balls. But to say that he has no power is exaggerated. Toney can throw well-timed, precise punches that will hurt any HW (with the exception of Oli Mcall). He can wear his opponents down with that. He knocked down Evander Holyfield (and is one of two men to stop him, the other one being Riddick Bowe) and John Ruiz (one legit KD, one push - and no, it wasn't because of the roids) and he stunned Hasim Rahman and Samuel Peter (who has a good chin - Wlad Klitschko threw the kitchen sink at him and still couldn't put him down), so he is able to hurt and eventually stop legitimate HWs, period.
Looks like you just got ****ing destroyed. Maybe you should think before you type, seriously man. ...:rofl @ you just getting rocked by someone else.
IGGY is supposed to be powerful, yet he couldn't KD a Holyfield who was four years older than Toney did, yet we don't here IGGY's power questioned... ...or same guy, IGGY...he didn't hurt WLAD at all, yet Peter did it reapeatedly in the fight...and these pseudoexperts tell us Peter has no "real" power.
Did you learn anything about steroids yet..."guru." You obviously are oblivious to the fact that you have no debate skills. Rico's comment was funny...hence:fire as a response. Compared to the facts I pile on the guy, it's laughable you would falsely claim my ownage...:rofl Yet, his little stat is better than anything you've posted since you've been on ESB...
