Shame to hear about that Tony but i know you have had problems with your hands in the past that god given gift of power you have is also a curse. No point risking major damage. How long are we looking at for the healing process hope you can get out again asap
:good "That's the fight game" as me old fella used to say. Big part of it is patience. Look forward to seeing you back in the ring soon Tony.
It's horrible, I agree, I'm truly devastated but I will not move on in my career without the Lonsdale belt, it's a dream to win it and I'll chase it like a dog chases a cat!! Like I said I am truly gutted beyond all measure but I'm a man and I'll come back from this stronger!! Thanks again guys
im taking my cousin who is a casual boxing fan to show him the fight because the last one was so good. Gutted but oh well cant be mad at someone for being injured!
Bad luck Tony, you made the right decision to pull out, if there is one thing that you do not want to do is risk an even worse injury for the sake of one fight. Hopefully you won't be out for too long and you will be back in the ring soon.
Tony Bellew is a proffessional boxer, and the Current "Light Heavyweight" Commonwealth Champion. And he's made over 1000 posts on eastside boxing.
That's why most of us appreciate him coming on here. He's a busy guy but he takes to time to talk to fans and give us a bit of insight into the sport, engaging with fans like this can't hurt ticket sales for him either (not that I'm saying that's his main reason for coming on here), I think he really values his fans and wants them to know whats going as well wanting to do well for them and himself and his in the ring. Sadly it also attract the odd knobhead looking to get a reaction out of him. I personally will cheer Tony for as long as his career lasts, despite him being a blue nose, I mean everyone has one fault right.
