So who does win this fight if they fought in the near future as in the next 18 months ? This could be a British rivarly of the Light Heavyweight divsion. Like Haye V Maccarinelli was the Crusierweight version. I have seen Cleverly box a good number of times - as he is from South Wales and was part of the Calzaghe camp. Not so familar with Tony Bellew - but have seen him fight when he destroyed that guy for the Commonwealth title. I know Tony posts on here and boxrec also. So who would win if they met ?
Cleverly is more experienced I believe. Sparring with Calzaghe and Enzo Macc and winning European title , etc. Is there the chance though that bellew could improve over the next 18 months and close the gap ?
I dont like opitions that sit on the fence. A draw is a possible result. But I would prefer voters to be forced to opt for one fighter.
Yes of course there is. But Clev will be World Champ in 18 months, Bellew won't yet be at that level.

I am just trying to gauge Cleverlys potential / career expectations. I could have asked if he would turn out to be better than joe Calzaghe - who fought at the same weight. But I already know the answer to that would probaly be - no he wont be as good as Calzaghe - as he was a special one off talent.
If Enzo was to retire today, yes. But Enzo is not done. I think he had a bad spell and will top what he's already acheived.
As much as i hurts me to say Bellew has the potential to be a superstar in British boxing i personally rate him that highly.shame he's english oh well! ha ha ha ha ha
