Bellew feels Wilder would have been crushed in the division without his physical dimensions. He says Wilder's abilities as a boxer are "dreadful" and points out Wilder's contest with Eric Molina. In that bout the WBC champ was rocked bad, but he recovered and came back to stop Molina. Last December, IBF/IBO/WBA champion Anthony Joshua had zero issues when he demolished Molina in a three round mismatch. "Deontay Wilder is only where he is because purely his size. If Deontay Wilder was six foot he would have been picked up, chewed up and spat out in four fights. Because he’s six foot seven and he’s got arms the length of an octopus, he’s massive and he’s got arms that are about five foot long. That’s why Deontay Wilder is where he is. He’s got freaky advantages in a boxing ring," Bellew told Boxing News. "Don’t get me wrong, he is a fantastic athlete but from a boxing perspective, he’s absolutely dreadful, his technique is just ridiculous, he doesn’t own a jab, he doesn’t own any defence whatsoever. Let’s be totally honest, Eric Molina shook the s*** out of him and Eric Molina is crap. Anthony Joshua’s shown Eric Molina exactly what he is. I’ve had one fight at heavyweight and I’ve got a better resume than Deontay Wilder has in 40 fights.

I think they will make this fight sometime in Fall, maybe October, because Wilder is supposed to fight next month, right?

    So thats in 5-6 weeks.

Honestly, i don't think that Wilder has the best boxing abilities but Tony Bellew shouldn't talk too much because he would probably be knocked out clean within the first 5 rounds by Deontay Wilder.

The guy was lucky against David Haye and thinks he is the greatest since he has beaten basically a man who couldn't defend himself anymore for 5 rounds and he still struggled to stop him.

Bellow is correct if Wilder wasn't 6'7 he would of lost many times long ago because his skill level is terrible. However Bellew is not great himself and should be quiet

It's clear he lacks any sort of power at heavyweight. I mean his power was decent but nothing special at cruiserweight but to take 5 rounds to take out a one legged, off balance David Haye who could not defend himself and has never been seen as durable, means that he definitely doesn't have much power at heavyweight. Not only that but Tony got gassed in like the 7th or 8th round from trying to finish him, so his stamina isn't all that great either.

He's not wrong in his assessment of Wilder but Bellew has gotten waaaaay too big for his boots this past year. Beats Makabu for a vacant belt - "I'm the best CW in the world". Nah son, beat one of Lebedev, Gassiev, Briedis or Usyk then we'll talk. Avoids getting knocked out by a shot, one legged puncher and all of a sudden he thinks he can beat any HW not named Anthony Joshua. He genuinely seems to think he's the scouse Ali with a holier-than-thou attitude regarding his supposedly superior "boxing IQ"...

Where was that ring IQ when you turned your back in a corner against Stevenson? I used to quite like him but I can't wait for the chirpy chipmunk to get KTFO now.

Bellew is right about Wilder. However, he is not the man to take Wilder out. If they fight I expect Bellew to look good for a bit before Wilder inevitably knocks him to the floor and teabags him.

They should just make that Wilder vs. Baloo happen so we can all forget about it. At least after that fight one of these twats will hopefully shut their mouth for a while.

Tony Bellew would make Wilder look like a moron and win a decision to be honest

I agree.... Bellews ability is atrocious and he's on a run that most would have considered a pipe dream, his abilities are flawed to say the least. But despite that he hasn't had much issue with facing top fighters at 3 different weight classes, instead of running with his tail between legs like Wilder has. Never liked Bellew... But can't deny the man has some serious guts.

Bellew is basic, which is better than flat out sloppy.

    Exactly.
He's a tall guy with decent power. He has no defense and when hit back hard he gets hurt. He can beat bottom rung guys at heavy and an inactive Haye type but he can't beat the elite guys at heavy.
