I have cut and paste my comments below from another thread, I think that the exposure that the amateurs get on TV is very poor. I am a big fan of the amateur game and have watched many top class ams come through, some make it and others just not adapt due to many factors... "I would like to see high quality amateur contests in between pro fights on shows, it will give the amateurs the exposure that they deserve and get them on people radars as early as possible...:bbb That is the only reason why I have been talking up Tony Bellew on here and other forums for such a long time.... I have watched Tony in many amateur contests over the years and his development from the amateurs to the paid ranks has been fantastic....He is in a top camp too...:yep We have an opportunity to seize the moment here with a different breed of promoter coming through who is willing to think outside the box, possibly listen to the punters on sites like this and hopefully keep the ticket prices at a realistic price so they are affordable to all fans...:good It would be great if Hatton/Haye/Calzaghe could be together like Golden Boy and make the fights that the punters want to watch and pay for if they make cash common sense to the fighters...I think that we can really turn a corner in the fututre...:yep
