Was he supposed to slug it out from the start? >6 stoppage was inevitable, easy money.

It was exactly what I expected, its not boring its just what he needed to do. Would be selling himself short to go in and box toe to toe with edison miranda he's a better boxer than that and didn't need to. One of our most exciting fighters but he's clever aswell knows when he can brawl and when he has to box, tonight he done what he had to and won.

I quoted the noob, because he's right. Bellew put a shift in, he did his job. Against a banger he had to approach the fight like this imo, he could have followed up on earlier combinations but it worked out for him.

This thread just proves that commentators have a huge sway in how the public perceive a fight they are watching, for some reason McCrory was sticking the knife into Bellew at every opportunity, slaughtering him for fighting a smart fight & nullifying a man who only has ever had a big punch and not much else, & as a result threads like these appear.

If Glenn hadnt been against Bellew from the word go, you can bet there would have hardly have been a mention about that being a negative performance on this forum:deal

Bellew must have been hearing the taunts, cos Adam said at the end of the 8th Tony gave Glenn a 'look' as he went back to his corner:D

Im not used to the SKY team giving one of 'their own' a grilling like that during a fight, especially after they were all on Purdys dick for his win beforehand! Can anyone tell me why they were 'anti' Bellew(IMO) tonight???

it wasnt exciting, but to call it boring is very harsh. Id rather watch that than a fight that turns into a spar or against a dummy.

personally think we now seeing the Bellew that is really killing himself to make 175.

I honestly don't believe he is making that weight easily.

*rolls carpet out for Tony's entrance.."

the fight was bit boring and was billed to be some fireworks barnfest at most..
Tony fought smart and methodical at times.props to the winner!

Miranda is the one that should get dissed..right?
