Give him his gloves, put him in a time mahine and there's no kne at 136135 I'd favor to beat him comprehensively

I'd say thats a distinct possibility, but all the best 130 and 135 have moved up, even JMM is at 140. I cant see him clearing house still with Gamboa, John, Guzman, Funeka all being very tricky bannana skins

Fair enough, I think a mover like John could be problematic and Gamboa might be a future ATG himself, looks promising.

I like those fighters but they are not in T.C.'s level at this point in time. I favor him over them all IMO

Gamboa is great but he is also a KO waiting to happen. Far to open and far to cocky. It needs a high calibre for that but I'm sure it will happen. Canzoneri would do so btw.

Canzoneri was great and is often overlooked. Thanks for the highlight.

I like Gamboa. He has some awesome physical ability, but he's far too open and porous defensively to not be knocked out by such a sharp counter-puncher like Canzoneri.

Canzoneri is so blindingly brilliant on film as well. Have only seen bits and pieces mind, looking forward to watching the Chocolate and McClarnin fights.

    Nice clip.
Too bad they dont show him getting laid out in 3 by Al "Bummy" Davis.
I would sure like to see a few clips of that guy.

    Been watching Canzoneri today.

He really beat McLarnin the first tiem around he out everythinged McLarnin, out boxed him, out punched him, out thought him etc... And after a hard first round really took over and dominated and by the end McLarnin was slightly gunshy.

One thing I liked with Canzoneri in particulary was his spearing left jab, it really did rock his opponents head back and was real snappy and quick with it.

I'm no an expert on Lloyd Marshall but do you think him and Canzoneri had comparable styles?

That was an impressive performance, but McLarnin was pretty well faded by that time. The three battles with Ross took a lot out of him. Canzoneri was past his peak then too, but he still had more left in the tank than McLarnin. When they fought a second time, they were on more equal footing (Canzoneri having lost to Ambers in between) and this time McLarnin outboxed him and busted him up.

    Yes.

But even so too outclass a fellow ATG in that manner is still impressive.

    In what ways specifically?
