I forget where I read it but somewhere I heard that Adam Carolla (the annoying host of the old Man Show) was a pretty good amature boxer, and a trainer. Anyone confirm this?
Remember being in a gym. A friend pointed Danza out puttin' on wraps gettin' ready to spar. Said he looked like a good prospect -- could punch. He was a sculpted middleweight, with Graziano hair and a ready grin. As I got closer, he was animatedly tellin' all around him how he'd jus' come from a casting session for a TV show. Figured -- like so many -- it was jus' one more boxer's "tall tale." Turned out to be for "Taxi"
I've heard this also, anyone see his boxing movie that was just out? Its called The Hammer, funny stuff.
i think it's the other way round. he had a cameo roll in a brit ganster movie becuase he was the greatest illegal bareknuckle boxer of his day
george galloway used to box, on that show about anger he said when he was going to be inqured by the U.S. or just having a rally he would spend 3 hours pshycing himself up. somthign he learned from his boxing days. normon wisdom was a bantamweight in the army, it was on the best of enemy's eubank-benn talk show thing lee evans was thinking of going pro when he was young. there was a science program talking about the body when under pressure (adrenaline, nerves, reactions). the example was evans sparring
He actually made a movie that went straight DVD. I think it is called the hammer or something. Check his name on IMD.com and it will show you all his history of his life and movies.
