In honesty someone posted this on my facebook page and asked me to read it as there was 'some' support on here for me. I read the big massive thread and then read more of dodson's idiotic posts on here. I'm not a bad winner or loser, but could anyone blame me if I did gloat? Which again I am not doing by the way. The comments I have had written about me by Dodson's "fans" and himself were out of order and incorrect.... I'm a big fan of admitting when I'm wrong. The only ones that did that are the ones that don't know dodson! I was just proving my point that so many new users appeared before this fight, on here and other forums. It was pathetic. All it comes down to is 2 boxers in the ring, your mates can't help you! I knew that all along. So anyway, no gloating, I'm not a bad winner(which nobody could begrudge in this instance if I was!) and I'm happy with the support and well wishes I received. That was all. Thanks again, all the best, Paul
No I wouldn't begrudge you being a bad winner in fact I reccomend it. If Dodson wanted to come on here and mouth off then It's great that you come on and rub it in his face 'post-fight' You should stay on here too and get involved Paul :good fighters are always welcomed on here (apart from Rob Palmer who'll no doubt try and make a name for himself ny running his fingers/mouth with you)
I second that. You've proved your point and cleared up the issues you felt were needed to be cleared up. You seem forthright in your views like Mr Bellew and he's building nice fan base not only in Liverpool but from us posters on here so i think only good can come of you now and then posting your views and updating your fans about latest goings on in your career and your brothers careers.
I'm glad i went back to read these posts i missed this. Tony handing out a beaten to the Wolfslair crew.
That's a quality post mate :good Stick around, it'd be nice to have your input. As long as you ignore the keyboard warriors the other 95% of the posters are sound.
Alright Paul, as you have probably gathered from my posts on this thread, and the avid thread, i am a big fan, but not an arse kisser. You were shat on from a great height by the dodson newbies, and dodson himself. I mean to suggest a dedicated pro is just a lazy middleweight, or light middleweight must have been extremely annoying to read. i think most of the regualr poster were fair in their assesment of the fight, and what would happen, i thought you would win, but did say that it had to be respected what dodson could potentially bring to the table, and that he may cause a couple of problems, simply because he had been a decent operator. However, the newbies are no where to be seen, as is dodson as basically the truth was served up to them when you beat him. he is finished, and you were not bullied by him, and took his best shots. i think it is good you have come on here to post, and defend yourself against some of the **** that has been said. As other posters have said, it would be great to have your regular input. By the way, any inkling on what the next step is going to be? Magee, or anything likely to happen with stieglitz? anyway mate, you can forget about dodson now, as the pair of you are going in different directions:good
Fair enough. We always hear so much about your power though, frm trainers etc but rarely see it in fights. Is it a worry that it isn't showing at this level as when you step up, things are likely gonna be tougher? Do u have trouble reproducing power in fights as opposed to training? Genuine question, no wind up
Doesn't bother me no, not at all. I know it's there. Watch my last two fights, I didn't land a proper clean power shot in either fight. Cleanly connected and on the button I mean. Why was I held so much inside in my last 2 fights? It's no secret I'm a decent body puncher and like to let go downstairs.... I fight from clinches well but when you're mauled inside it nullifies that. But regardless, I try too hard, I've always known that. I'm not the type of fighter to relax and maybe lose one or two rounds due to not working then kick myself for years due to not giving 100% and losing!
exactly!! anyone who knows your style or fights regularly in this country would do the same thing. theres no way anybodys gonna let you loose on the inside, being a natural bodypuncher. i mean look at the matumla fight at the MEN, he had never been down in his career and because he didnt know what to expect, he gave you plenty of room and you knocked him out :deal the more famous you become as a fighter, the less room you are gonna get to operate because of your powerful bodyshots!!
