Tony Galento V Smokin Bert Cooper?

A nice little action packed fight surely? We'll have the Cooper from the Moorer scrap against two ton from the Louis ft.

 

Galento has the better chin but nothing else,so its a toss up.

 

Cooper has huge power, so I expect Galento to hit the deck sooner or later. He also had a bit of an underrated chin, good enough to withstand Galento's shots at any rate.

Cooper vs Shavers is a more interesting fight.

 

Cooper from the Moorer fight definitely has a good chance. Keep in mind that Galento wasn't slick or fast, so it comes down to who of them can take the other's punch better.

 

I see a short, slugging match, that doesn't get past the fifth. But I'm Undecided who comes out the winner.

 

I think Galento was a very strong physical fighter, look how he bullies joe Louis (who some say lifted up Carnera in a clinch) and backed up Max Baer whilst remembering Bert getting ragged dolled by an old George Foreman. Picturing that I believe Galento rolls right over Cooper who never had the best chin anyway.

Just watched these two videos. Joe Savage looks better than Galento. He didn't do well against Cooper, don't think Galento would do any better.

 

If Cooper could somehow manage get past Galento's intestinal gas he might actually have a chance to win.

 

Hold it right there. Joe savage was not a pro fighter....and it shows

 

Savage looks as skilled there as Galento ever did.

 

and then some, Savage can jab, and he doesn't lead with a wide hook.
