I am torn. He put up a valiant effort against the pacman. He did not want to quit.

however, he didn't deserve a shot against Manny, He f'n cheated and he made fun of Roach's medical illness.

I can't salute this guy who picked up a paycheck even though he didn't deserve one.

trinidad (ran the last four rounds)
quartey (lost that fight IMO)
mosley x 2 (Lost both fights)
hopkins (took a dive and made hopkins his partner quickly after taking that dive)
pac (Quit after taking 9 rounds punishment)
chavez x 2 (caught chavez in his wonder years)
mayweather (lost that fight basicly stopped fighting the last third of the fight)
hernandez (whiptey ****ing do)

 

so his resume basically takes a dump on margaritos DESPITE being an olympian who could pick and choose his fights? and he CHOOSE to fight the best out there?

oscar's resume is 10x margos and he fought them to prove he was the best. THAT'S a man, win or lose

 

Sure oscars resume is light years better but look at it this way, Oscar had a promoter and manager that could easily pave the way and open doors for him.
Margarito earned his place the old fashion way... and fought all that were willing to fight him in order to get to the top.
Oscars cant be denied but at the same time Margaritos must be respected.
Nobody wanted nothing to do with Tony until after he beat Cotto...

Yeah since oscar has been out of boxing I have gained Alot of respect for him. yeah he lost alot of big fights but he always tried his hardest and never bitched an moaned.

 

The same thing happend for me regarding Roy Jones Jr, I always downsized his ability and basicly thought he was fighting a bunch of bums until Tarver...
When he lost to Tarver the 2nd time and was knocked out by Johnson thats when you start to realize just how great these guys really are especially when you consider that Jones dominated Ruiz a guy like it or not who has never been an easy fight for anybody.
Ruiz basicly beat Valuev, has wins over Holyfield and Kirk Johnson along with a few other names such as Oquendo and Jones made that **** look so ****ing easy I mean hell Jones had an easier time with Ruiz than did Toney who IMO barley beat Ruiz on steroids.

 

I still can not lable Margarito as a cheater I think his trainer tried to cheat cus his trainer did not beleive in Margarito considering he struggled to make that weight for the mosley fight.

I honestly beleive he didnt know and all to often people use the losses after being caught as proof.
Look at it this way we know he didnt cheat with Pacquiao and Margarito did better than DLH, he landed more shots on Manny than any other fighter Manny has faced since his loss to Morales and that says something
