Here is another thread on crossovers: https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/professional-boxers-who-were-once-kickboxers.546602/ I don't think he was in any k-1 organisation event, just that he bagged the euro k1 title. Yeah Miller beat some top guys too in k-1, glory etc. Looks like there has been quite a few at heavy, Spong is the smallest guy, and was never really a true heavyweight so it will be interesting to see how far he could go, that would be a real accomplishment where skill and talent shine through as opposed to a 300 pound monsters like Miller crossing over to Boxing while on three different PEDs lol
I think he'll just go for it and be stopped outright earlier if hes being outboxed too badly. Spong isn't as durable as say Allen, but a coward he is not.
He'll need a really good gameplan against a skilled, tall opponent. He ain't dumb, he has plenty of fight experience, and he should make the required adjustments to his game upon knowing that Yoka is a gold meddalist and is 6 ft 7. He has no fear of fighting big guys, where he was once 170lbs at 6'2 moving up in weight to fight the 260LB beast Alistair Overeem and gave him a good fight.
