    6 Max Schmeling

    8 Sonny Liston
    9 Henry Cooper

    outside of these I would like to mention Lou Nova, Gerry Cooney, Jerry Quarry Jimmy Ellis, Floyd Patterson, Tommy Farr, George Foreman, Garry Mason, Joe Bugner, Danny Williams and Billy Walker.

    It’s true though, Sonny’s fights are great to watch. I watch a lot of Liston. His best performance is probably against Machen or Bethea. I especially liked his later fights with Scrapiron Johnson and Henry Clark. Very good veteran fighter at that period.

    I am allowed to make a case for other fighters over him, or make cases over men Liston beat.

    but my enjoyment of his actual fights is genuine. Nothing wrong in that.

    Didn't he join to berate Liston? I have definitely heard that about someone, dunno if he was Lab.

    And you forget each time that you accepted my explanation as well.. my issue was never with Liston himself, and Never that I did not appreciate his talent.

    what surprised me most was that you didn’t pick Luis Ortiz in your top ten. There was a time where you picked him over Jersey Joe Walcott. :thumbsup:
