1. Wlad-he's been the champ a while now 2. Vitali--similarly dominant 3. Haye--just beats out Adamek for #3, mostly due to SNV and his cruiser record 4. Adamek--Arreola was a good win, plus was undefeated and champ at cruiser. 5. Povetkin--would be #3 but competition has been lackluster 6. Chambers--some high level wins, outside of K2 the division seems scared of him. 7. Chagaev--nice win over SNV but pro resume remains pretty thin. 8. Thompson--hasn't been very active, but then no one will face him. 9. Solis--best resume of all undefeated contenders outside of Povetkin. 10. Peter--cause Arreola, Helenius, Pulev, Dimitrenko, etc haven't done enough to get rated ahead of a former champ who is still going strong like Sam Peter.
you all underestimate boytsov, he maybe not have fought the best right now, but on talent and power alone I see him in the top 10 right now, this dude KO's barely every of his opponents. he would beat povetkin or solis.
I have not seen Boytsov to be more impressive against the same opposition as Pov or Sol, do you know of a fight where he clearly shows his talent is better? He does have age on his side, but it is easier for be to see a tall guy like Helenius emerging from the current prospects.
Helenius has size, but doesn't has the power. H is strong and wears opponents down, but Boytsov he has Klitschko like power in his hands. He is more in shape than Helenius and he has better defence. I hate universum for not putting boytsov with more quality opponents in the ring, but just go too yutub and you will see what I mean.

You dont realise how starkly crap the HW division is until you try and compile a top 10 current list . In 30 odd years as a fight fan I cannot remember a poorer HW scene - Pre tyson - we had a top 10 that contained guys like Holmes, Witherspoon,Tubbs, Pinklon Thomas,Gerry Cooney ,Gregg Page and Tony Tubbs also quick tillis and bonecrusher smith etc 1983/1984 pre tyson is considered a very poor HW scene - maybe its nostalgia but compared to the OP's list it looks like a golden era
i think MEEHAN even beats thompson, peter, chambers, helenious, and valuev. as long as he stayed active. his inactivity killed him vs chagaev. 2 years without a fight, then faces a recent world champ.
here are the 1984 ratings: Larry Holmes, Champion Pinklon Thomas Greg Page David Bey Tim Witherspoon Gerrie Coetzee Mike Weaver Michael Dokes James Broad James (Bonecrusher) Smith Gerry Cooney 1. Holmes by that point in his career was worse than both Klitschko's, imo 2. Pinklon Thomas was good, but didn't have many meaningful wins other than Witherspoon and Weaver. Both Klitschko's were better than him. Similar level to Haye and Solis. 3. Page was good, but fell off in 84. Solis/Haye tier again 4. Bey wasn't really that good. Worse than plenty of heavyweights today 5 Witherspoon--same league as Thomas and Page Of the other guys, Coetzee and Weaver were finishing their careers. Dokes and Cooney were blowing theirs. And I don't think Bonecrusher or Broad were that good ...so I don't really think that era was better. A lot of those guys blew their potential or were relevant for short periods only. If every guy not named Klitschko accomplishes nothing other than getting blown away in title shots, then 83/84 might prove to be better, but there are guys in the division today who haven't blown it yet. It would be nice to see them fighting each other more though.
