Interesting. I'll have to look into this, never rely on wikipedia :yep

That would be the mistake I was making then, I was confusing Hispanic with Latino. In that case, my list needs revision.

I see you've revised yours as well, but still no Gavilan?

I didn't include Gavilan either, but to be honest I've never seen footage of his fights just read about them. So I really can't put him on my list. I know he probley deserves to be on every top latino boxer list

No I didn't confuse him with Miguel angel Gonzales, if that's what you were getting at. his great fight was against rosario, but you know what im questioning if he was greater than others I didn,t post cuz Juan LaPorte was better.

That would be Jose Luis Ramirez my friend, and I know him all too well, as any Whitaker fan would. He's not top 10 material.

No it's a term that is applied to the "new world Countries". From the conquest of the Original Latin countries, make sense?

This is it how it is defined in terms of Latin America, I don't pretend to be an expert on these matters!

SP - I must admit, I completely forgot about Kid Gavilan, criminal really. I'll possibly revise that for a third time, just got to think where he fits in

chavez, duran, olivares, sanchez, lopez, trinidad, gomez, benitez, zarate, napoles. there's been some real class fighters from that way on. loche was apparently amazing, as was roman. the top 2 have to be chavez and duran. sanchez was still very young when he died. lopez cleaned his division up. gomez still holds the record for defences by ko. theres a lot of room for argument but the names mentioned have to be in the top 15 at least, oh! kid chocolate.
