ur right Gpator, that is why there first classic fight should be the one that counts. People also forget Corrales was a underdog when he knocked out the Undefeated Acelino Freitas(who was hyped up beyong belief and had beaten undefeated versions of casamayor and grigorian). Corrales recorded some very good wins here.
it should. Chico was a good fighter in his day but a better warrior. In some proper tear ups. His win over Popo is a good one too i think he sneaks into a top 10.
I've never thought that highly of Casa or especially Freitas. Can't think of a single performance that really impressed.
I just personally like Casamayor's boxing, to watch i mean. Most people i say this to think i'm a bit mad, but it's just the side to side movement more than anything else. But a lot of the time he failed on the massive stage didn't he? Like after Floyd left beating Freitas would have been nice, but i thought he lost that legit, and Castillo again it happened. Of course he has other wins, but i understand what you are saying in terms of a career defining, brilliant display being absent from his career. You not impressed with him at all Mantequilla?
Don't get me wrong, he's a solid fighter, but i thought he lost a step quite early in his career and was never overly impressive at any stage.
Cassamayor defintley looked alot more prime and sharp early in his career(in first/2nd corrales fights)....by the time of the 3rd fight both fighters looked shot.
