Cus D’Amato; a great trainer. He said ‘the idea of being a professional prize fighter is to make money. The way you make money is by putting people in the seats. The way you put people in the seats is by exciting them. By thrilling them. By finding a style that makes them want to be there for something special.’

Knockouts is a way of thrilling ppl.

    Why?

Because it says that Thomas Oosthuizen is more exiting than Sakio Bika?

Wlad knocks mother****ers out left and right but he's hardly thrilling. I'm not being a hater I like watching him fight but it's true.

Bute's KO percentage is higher than Froch before he faced Pascal so your theory doesn't explain everything. Bute has power and timing but more important, he knows how to set up his KO. We'll see if his percentage changes drastically against top opposition but don't forget he's the only one to have KO'd Andrade.

Glen Johnson will give us a good hint of Bute's power at the top.

Whats wrong with you? You just wrote that most of Pavliks Ko's where below SMW, and then after you write that Bute vs Pavlik would have been between the 2 best KO % boxers in SMW div..

    ?!?!?!?!?!?

How many KO's did Pavlik do in SMW?

A 6'4" southpaw South African volume puncher, and not that it matters, the IBO titlist. Recently fought to a draw with Isaac Chilemba, who's moved up to LHW and beaten some good competition on ESPN since then. Also holds wins over Saul Roman and William Gare, whose record isn't that impressive but who had rattled off a really good streak of wins over the past few years. He'll be fighting Aaron Pryor Jr. on the Berto-Zaveck undercard in what looks to be a bit of a freak show, since both guys are really, really long. Dad was also a South African boxing champ back in the '80's or something.
