I have to laugh at this thread, posted by the biggest PBF detractor here at ESB.

First off, by only including fighters of the past 5 years, you show the lack of depth of your boxing knowledge.

Second, you are criticising a man for his welterweight resume, when he came into the sport as a 130 pounder. He beat 4 linear champions. When your boy Margarito beats a light heavyweight or fights the most dangerous light heavyweight in the world these types of threads would be acceptable. I guess Roy Jones Jr. ducked Klitschko and Lewis right?

For those criticising Floyd for not fighting the best at 140, you must know that they (Cotto and Hatton) would not fight him while he was campaigning at 140.

While Margarito was winning vacated titles, Cory Spinks cleaned out what was left of the welterweight division as Mosley, Forrest and De La Hoya departed. You might as well say that Margarito ducked Spinks then. Low and behold Judah moved up beat Spinks and became the UNDISPUTED champion. Floyd beat both Judah and Judah's surprise conqueror Baldomir.

If Arum had 8 million dollars to throw around on Margarito's behalf, perhaps he should have thrown it Baldomir's way you ****ing moron.

PBF was a draw he did 350K in his fight with Zab more than Zab-Cotto did. He should have been payed more than what Arum was willing to give him. Arum ****ed it up because of his inability to see that he had a future star and that he was known for not negoiating with GBP. So PBF bought his ass out and went the free-agency route and made money money than he could have ever made by satying with Arum.

PBF is the GOAT at 130 fool! You base his whole career off of his time at 147 but don't give him any credit for what he did at the lower weights a true sign of a irrational hater.

Great post but it will fall on irrational ears. Margo was at 147 for years long before PBF got there and never fought or beat the champ in the divison.

Again pure economics and it dsnt erase the fact that he chumped out with his lil frail hands as the welter division got RED HOT!! Like they say "cant stand the heat get the Fuk outta the kitchen"! Floyd RIP

So I guess he had no balls in fighting Oscar at 154 for his first fight in a class he had no business in on Oscar's terms?:-(

    1. Zsolt Erdei (has held linear title ransom for damn near ten years fighting almost nobody that even some hardcore fans would recognize)

    2. Joe Calzaghe (waited far to long avoiding the best only to cash in as he has aged less than his current opposition has)

    3. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (gained title and spent years defending it against regional fighters while avoiding all the big names in and or around his weight class for almost an entire decade. Remained in the same division yet never came to terms for a unification bout)
