    No troll thread.

Im wondering why people claim he has one of the greatest jabs in history , but his left hook is a much more formidable weapon and nobody raves on about that.

There's not much to his jab as imo and jab.

Here's Wlado following up a 1-2 with a flurry of punches.

Wlad...one of the hardest and active Jabs
Louis...hard and useful for setting up the right hand and the hook
    Ali....Fast cutting & blinding
Holmes...strong Jab, hurting jab (with active thumb) one of the hardest next to Vlad
Foreman...the older version could shake your head with his jab, slow but powerful
Sonny Liston, long arms long jab, slow but active to set up a power shot

Obviously Liston, Holmes, Foreman, Ali, Bowe, Louis deserved to be mentioned but some others who had very good jabs were Pinklon Thomas, Buster Douglas and Mercer.

I agree, major strength, always protects his chin when he throws. Always. Great observation.

I don't know if I would go so far as to say Wlad would make any great fighter look average, because it depends on the match up. But you are making a convincing case for Wlad being the best, i'll give you that. He certainly made Povetkin look average, so you might be on to something.

Exposing his cream chin like that , I wouldn't be surprised if the HW version of James Toney was able to beat him. 50/50 toss up as far as im concerned.

I wasn't sold on Wlad being the best until I opened this thread and read your observations. But you are making me a believer. The way he protects his chin when he throws is marvelous. Almost impossible to counter. Your right, i don't even think Toney could hit him.

    04.28 in this video:rofl

He nearly as bad as Amir Khan.

And retreating , clinching and bear hugging for dear life against a guy well past his best who never had the power to snap a twix even in his prime.

Why is this 'atg' backing up and hugging when a smaller guy like Ike never took a back step once when he fought Byrd in his prime?

Even old worn out Golota walked down Byrd from pillar to post.
