Margarito has poor defense, but great chin.

Andrade has poor defense, but ridiculous chin.

Toney has really good defense, and really good chin.

PBF has great defense, and good (yet, not much tested) chin.

    _____________

If we ask specifically about chins, then two people stand out:

    Librado Andrade
    Antonio Margarito.

Yeah, Margarito and Andrade are on another level. It's just unreal.

Baldomir? Arce? Abraham? Marion Wilson? Tua? Toney?

I'd put all those guys ahead of Margarito, whose chin showed some flaws at 154 and who was knocked down a bunch of times early in his career. Margo has a great chin, but it's not superhuman.

How the **** is Pavlik number 3? He's been knocked down multiple times and was almost knocked out against Taylor. No way in hell does he have the third best chin in boxing.

A busted eardrum will severely affect your balance. I.E, it will be harder for you to keep your feet. Basically, that fight had very little to do with Peter's chin. Of course, I expect Wlad fans to say otherwise and make ridiculous comments such as Wlad ruined his chin.

Say what you want...make excuses for Peter. but he is not the same fighter as before Wlad. His confidence is not the same...its on the rise again but still not the same.

Now that most fighters talk to the ref before the fight about peters rabbit punches. he has been alot less effective (rabbit bunches during clinches)

There are no excueses, it's a scientific fact that a busted ear drum will have a negative effect on your balance. As far as his confidence not being the same, that's complete bull****. Meanwhile, Wlad seems to be scared to throw his right hand and grabs his opponent at the slightest sign of trouble. That seems more like a fighter that is losing confidence.

He looked pretty effective against Maskaev.
