Rampage?? No way man. Good, strong chin, but definitely not an ATG chin on the same level as the likes of Hendo and Penn IMO.
Because he's had the utter **** kicked out of him three times in his career, stopped and stopped brutally. Fedor fought in Pride, and this never happened to him. Big Nog fought in Pride and this never happened to him. Hendo fought in Pride and this never happened to him (and Hendo fought Wanderlei twice as well). Therefore, I don't think it's possible to say Rampage is in the same league as those guys. To me, that's pretty logical. Shogun is a good call though. He did get staggered by L'il Nog in the GP, but other than that he has been rock solid. The beatdown by Jones doesn't factor into my thinking too much, Rua was clearly rustier than the Titanic and visibly out of shape, Griffin fight-style.
Cyborg also gave Shogun a bit of a hiding iirc (not saying his chin is ****, just thought I'd mention). Gotta watch out for Fujita's deadly hands :dead.
Rampage has taken solid strikes from serious powerhouses, I hope you watched the 3 fights you mentioned both fights against Wand in pride and the shogun fight also in Pride FC. Rampages loss was not from a suspect chin but because Quinton lacked the knowlage to defend the Thai plum, I assure you even the best chins can be cracked and being caught with a knee while being in the thai plum is a good way to crack even the hardest of chins. In the fight against shogun Rampage's rib was broken by a knee strike. this is coupled with some vicious soccer kicks is what caused to lose by tko. His chin didnt fail him but he was broken.
