Toughening up

    The day you dont get nervous, is the day you should quit boxing. Its good to be a bit nervous before a big match or sparring someone new.

    I get nervous before everytime I spar. Tonight I was really nervous and breathing hard before a little bit, and when I'm getting my headgear on, but when the sparring starts things get better. I don't know what I'll be thinking before my first fight though, I may have it this Saturday because my trainer thinks I'm ready.

    you are either born being able to cope in these situations better than others imo, there are those who in their first few spars bite down on the gumshield and enjoy the spar there are others who dislike it, are nervous before to the point of not wanting to spar and when hit turn their backs, after 12 months it will become common practise same as anything someone might find scary at first
