Wicked mate. You've been more than helpful! Holland is only an hour odd away from the uk as well, hence me choosing it over Thailand.
No worries at all fella. Yeah a lot of people choose it because of location (europeans anyway), thailand is a trek. Maybe in the future eh? See a few stadium fights.
The place to go in bangkok for international boxing is called top rated! http://www.siamfightmag.com/reporta...rated_boxing_gym/the_top_rated_boxing_gym.htm
Yeah, well that's it isn't it mate? Absolute journer-and-a-half to thailand! I'd rather the old pocket take a bit of a beating and go to Holland than go all the way over there. And the Dutch basically run things upwards of lw/ww anyway imho, speak fluent enough english, great weed and hookers. What's not to like?
Thanks Boxon. Bam-Bam, can you suggest any Western Boxing specific gyms in Thailand that cater for beginners. As mentioned, still keen to explore all options!
A lot of gyms in thailand do mate, its the back woods type gyms that don't train farang (westerners) Im guessing this is what you mean by "western boxing spedific" Sinbi would be a good place to go, http://www.sinbi-muaythai.com/ That is in phuket, so plenty of beaches and bars on an evening too. Or if you want to go to bangkok http://www.keatkhamtorn.com/ keathamtorn gym caters for all levels and has stadium fighters training there too. You will hear different things about different places, and each has their good points. You'll just have to look into them all before you make a decision. Nipple - dont go too wild in amsterdam if you end up smoking a load of weed, eating a few handfuls of mushrooms and emptying your sack you'll be a vegetable in the gym the next day....although when in rome ey? Maybe train for two weeks and stay on for an extra few days to enjoy the erm...sites...and architecture :rasta
