training cardio with mouthguard

Hello I notice when I wear a Mouth guard I get out of breath quicker. I was wondering would training cardio or punchbag whilst wearing mouthguard be a good idea it would get you used to wearing a mouth guard

Yes, many people hit the heavy bag or do pad work (myself included) wearing a mouthguard.

Yes. But in my experience, some are so bulky that they are simply unusable.

For example, the more pricey shock doctor ones with the gel and other fancy features are far too bulky and basically make you gag while wearing it. Another one I used permitted no air to pass through my mouth. So they ended up in the trash.

I stuck with the cheapest most basic shock doctor (boil n' bite) one for a while as it did the trick and wasn't overly bulky. Since then, I switched to a custom mouthguard, which is really the way to go for the best protection, and ability to breathe.
