Winky was the bigger fighter who kept the jab in his face all night long, which kept him at bay for the most part. Clottey is simply not the same, despite the high guard clouding you guys judgement.

And I don't really think Clottey has proven his chin to be "great". How exactly? He certainly hasn't proven he can take Tito power.

C'mon Los. How the hell is Cotto going to make it 11 rounds, but Clottey and Williams get stopped by the 6th round? That makes no sense.

Yup but Clottey is small not as big as Winky.IMHO is think Clottey(as good as defense and chin he has)wouldnt make it past the 6th rd

Sweet Pea's got it right, it wasn't the high guard that beat Tito, it was THE JAB. Every time Tito tried to step in he'd get a jab to the face, lose his balance, and step out only to have the same thing happen to him over and over and over again. No way in hell Clottey's jab produces the same results.

You act like I'm predicting a Clottey win. In fact I said, Tito would win a wide decision. However, I don't think he would stop Clottey

I've never even seen Clottey get dented in the ring. He's been in there with some good punchers and looked completely unphased. He hasn't proven that he can take Tito's power? He hasn't proven that he can't. How many good defensive fighters with good chins has Tito stopped? He couldn't even stop a half blind Reid, yet you assume he'll stop Clottey.

Cotto is a better boxer than both of 'em bottom line and would last longer :bbb Maybe i got carried away with Williams getting stopped by the 6th .

There aren't many who can take Tito's power, period. So saying "he hasn't proven he can't" doesn't really work out. You have to prove the ability to do something before you should be favored to do it, that's common sense.

Tito didn't stop every single opponent he ever faced, nobody did, but he did stop most, and I see nothing aside from a tight guard that will stop him from stopping Clottey.

Roy used that high guard defense, and didn't jab all that much. Tito had trouble landing on him as well.

Name me one fighter with a good defense and a good chin that Tito stopped.
