I guess the only issue that people might have with this is the fact that Canelo can keep GGG waiting in the ring for a while if he comes out second. Otherwise, the order of introductions doesn't matter at all-in fact, the champion was introduced first up to and into the 1980's.

Depends on who the ring announcer was. For most of the 80's in Las Vegas it was Chuck Hull who usually announced the champion first and the challenger second.

It was pretty common to announce the champion first in Asia, too.

Either way,I agree. It doesn't really matter. I can't see GGG allowing himself to be "frozen" by waiting in the ring, and the order of introductions doesn't mean a hell of a lot in the grand scheme of things.

Canelo is acting like a Diva, it's not going to matter though because GGG will also be the first to be interviewed in the post fight after he wins.

It's rather simple, Hopkins unified the Middleweight division, Taylor beat him, Pavlik beat Taylor, Martinez beat Pavlik, Cotto beat Martinez and finally Alvarez beat Cotto.

He can have 10 paper titles to impress idiots like you for all I care, in the end they are all paper titles. The real #1 fighter going into the ring is Alvarez. If Golovlkin wins this fight he will finally be officially considered the #1 Middleweight and will also finally score his very first meaningful victory.

Lol trying to use the lineal title to make Canelo #1... He's never fought at MW and both him an Cotto ducked GGG.

A lot of people either don't know or forgot that Cotto paided GGG step a side money to let him fight Canelo. Canelo really should of fought GGG back then after the Cotto fight.

Not really, they merely ducked the crap payday a fight with GGG(who's feasting on bums while hoping for a free donation) will bring. Inevitably, it had to happen and now is the perfect time because lets face it, it's not like GGG will step up anywhere to force big fights.

Yes, the lineal title is what counts and clearly Alvarez is #1. By the way, 154.1 all the way to 160 is officially Middleweight. I know that's new information to morons like you.

    Paided...

No he shouldn't have fought him back then, because back then Golovkin's biggest win was Marco "ATG Quality" Rubio. At least now Golovkin has a win over a blown up Welterweight to brag about in the build up.

The lineal title is not what counts when you get guys like Canelo and Stevenson ducking any threat to it... Canelo should have lost the lineal title when he said he wasnt ready for MW and fought for a JMW title..

154-160 may well be MW but Canelo never allowed an opponent to be 160, he had to drain them down... Therefore never truly fighting at MW.

Yes the lineal title is what counts regardless of your imbecilic baseless opinion. The lineal champion won't waste his time fighting someone who's doing nothing but exploding into arenas as a 1/100 favorite against bums.

Yes, 154-160 is Middleweight, so if the fight takes place at 154.1, it's still officially considered Middleweight otherwise the commission will get involve and penalize accordingly. I like your progress, you're finally learning a thing or two.

GGG wants to make sure Canelo is in the ring and doesn't pull out because he broke a finger nail or some other nonsense.

    GGG in about 8 rounds.
