boxing 2012: i think that's what the vegas odds are ultimately counting on, i believe still at 3 to 1 favoring canelo. Even, the round by round notes on the Golovkin v Canelo sparring session are much closer than the "golovkin won" analysis that everyone keeps throwing around. Last, few call mayweather tired during his cowardly defensive posture as he allows his opponent to tire themselves out...Canelo seems to be doing something similar (in some instances,not all), I think that the truth on Canelo's stamina is somewhere in-between.
I think Canelo is gonna' win and win good. Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up beating the crap out of him.

I used to be a fan of Canelo before he won the belt but since then he went down hill fighting Cintron, Gomez, Hatton, Rhodes, Lopez . . . . im not biased but people have made the excuse of Canelo's age, doesnt matter how old he is : if you have a belt you should be fighting genuine contenders. Hatton - Dragged up from Welterweight where he was the European champion Rhodes - Well past his best and was always a Euro level fighter at best Gomez - Another Welterweight who has seen better days Cintron - 3-2-1 in his last 6 fights, the draw should have been a KO/UD Loss. Lost to Williams, Molina and Martinez in my eyes and only decent win was over Angulo. Mosley - 2-3-1 in his last 6, well past his best and fought mostly at Welterweight as well as not being able to win a title at 154 legitimately even in his prime Lopez - Originally scheduled to drag Ortiz up from Welterweight (coming off a KO loss to Mayweather) Ortiz himself dragged Lopez up from Junior Welterweight and paid the price, Lopez moved up again to 154 and was out muscled Austin Trout on the other hand is a full fledged Junior Middleweight and more proven at the weight by beating former champion Miguel Cotto, Top Contender Delvin Rodriguez as well as a win over Alvarez's brother to win the WBA belt (technically an interim title until Floyd Mayweather vacated) This fight will either prove if Alvarez is a genuine champion at 154 or if he just another hype job. Personally stylistically it should be a pretty good fight with Alvarez plodding forward trying to catch trout . . . . (Couldnt resist ) With trout fighting on the outside keeping at rand trying to outbox Alvarez.
