He's doing well right now but i don't think his style is for the casual fans. I'm not sure. I think Alvarez will get the decision due to the KD. I think Trout's style isn't really attractive for the casual audience in comparison to Canelo's style.
Trout was coming at Alvarez more often than Alvarez was for him. I thought he was out of his mind since I believe he was winning by simply boxing his fight. When I found out it was open scoring I understood why he stopped boxing.

This supports the hypocrisy I was talking about in the other topic. If Canelo was black instead of Mexican, he would be getting a whole heap of criticism right now for his boring defensive style. He was too slick, but not offensive enough. Even right here, you have someone saying Trout isn't fan friendly, yet Trout threw more punches and pushed the fight, while Canelo used slickness, and minimal offense to somehow win the judges over. Make Alvarez Black, and make Trout Mexican, and the Alvarez would be getting shitted on right now by everyone with people saying he ran, and made the fight boring. There is a huge double standard in boxing.
most fan friendly fighters only last a few years. My favorite fighter Hearns lasted longer than most and he was entertaining.
