Troy Ross did fight good fighters on The Contender..... Secondly.... I see that people are bringing up the he needs to fight live bodies and go deep into rounds and not 5 rounds... The problem with that is that 3 of his 4 fights including the Finals, did NOT go the distance.... He has the skill and the will to bring Adamek plenty of trouble... A southpaw that can hurt you with both hands... And for the most part, a smart fighter with technique...
A lot of the ppl discrediting Ross have never even seen him fight. he turned pro late and has had bad management and couldnt get proper exposure. He was very well known as an amateur but that doesnt mean you will be as a pro so the contender was good for that. believe me Troy would give adamek quite a few problems. Adamek looks like he has no answer for the southpaw style and Troy has the speed power and boxing ability to give him hell.
Ross by KO. Adamek has never face a fighter with everything. And he would most likely underestimate him.
you jump from the contender to Tomasz Adamek...Ross could really use a quality win over a top 10 opponent before Adamek...
The trick will be to protect Ross' status as fringe boxing celebrity, to build up his world ranking, and to develop him without too much risk. He is a major talent; surely he can be built so that he can offer a credible challenge to Adamek.
