Morrison is overrated here. Tua's was the hardest and Tyson's the most dangerous because of the speed and power. Tommy was very dangerous with his but it was a tiny step below.
Morrison if anything is underrated:deal he didn't have the extensive amatuer career, or the connections Tyson did, he fought mostly in toughman contests, which is basically fighting a bunch of drunk rednecks in Arkansas, and Oklahoma, hardly the cornerstone of boxing, before he turned pro... He also lost only 3 times in 52 pro fights, losing to Ray Mercer, and the decades best fighter who whipped everybody Lennox Lewis is nothing to be ashamed of , he also handedly outboxed Foreman, (something only Holyfield could do), and dropped Ruddock, and fought a draw with Ross Purrity, the same Purrity that KNOCKED OUT Wladimir Klitchko... Morrison also fought with broken hands and a broken jaw, (Hipp fight) and never quit or tried to get out of a fight, he couldn't win, unlike a lot of guy's who just say the hell with it i can't win, i'll just stay on the stool, or try and get DQ'D, TOO many guy's today wuss out of fight's with lousy excuses, that was never Morrison:-( If Morrison wouldn't have gotten sick he probably would have won another title, and would have been a force in a weak division, for a long time to come..
^ yes sometimes Morrison is sold a little short. He was a good heavyweight with flaws (stamina and chin) that made some pretty exciting fights. People forget his career ended at only 26 years of age! That is young for a hw. Being an American caucasian fighter would have guaranteed him a few more big fights in the 90s. I would of loved to see him fight Moorer I always felt he could take him. I also would of loved to see the fireworks of him trading with Holyfield for however long the fight lasted. He ducked no one and probably could of added another 15 wins to his ledger given his age and frequency he fought.
