Why does it have to be a string of unbeaten fighters?
No one is doing that lol

Briggs and Sosnowski who were they beating to get shots? They were losing lol
(Who is this Wach thats getting a possible shot, biggest win is a washed up Kevin McBride I heard?)
Why does Tua get double standards?

Anyone that bothers to box Tua eithers troubles him greatly or flat out beats him. Even guys like Rahman and Jeff Wooden (Who?)

Monte did it the first time, I really don't see whats going to change this time around. Tua gained 10 pounds in between the Monte and King fights, the guys body is shot to ****.

Really rooting for "Two Gunz" Barrett to win, ever since he fell into the ring during the Haye fight walk-in he has a special place in my heart.

Sunshine, Tua has had 3 losses in his career so not many people are getting W's against him!!!! Wooden and Rahman sure didn't

Tua has enough power to put anyone's lights out, so he will always get respect in the ring

I hope you put your money where your mouth is. The bookies will give you good odd's. I'm pretty sure you'll be regretting it though and i'll be having a good laugh

James I hear what you say about other boxers that have done precious little to "deserve" a title shot........but you have got to remember Tua WAS given a title shot........ and he got jabbed to death by Lewis.......Tua didn't even land a single decent punch all night......It was perhaps one of the dullest fights I have ever seen. And that I am afraid counts against Tua........If Tua on the other hand put up a good show but lost to Lewis........then sure he might "deserve" another shot.

The 2011 version of Tua is some way off the 2000 version or the 2002 version when he Koed Michael Moorer in one round.
I watched Tua 2010 fight against Friday Ahunanya......and it was a pretty dull fight with Tua looking a shadow of his former self.

So any title shot with Wlad the is almost guaranteed to be the same result as back in 2000 when the bigger better boxer simply jabbed all night.

    Top.

I don't think athletes "recover" from career hampering injuries at Tua's age. I don't think he'll ever be half of what he used to be again, as much as many of us secretly wish he could be.

Reminds me of Lacy, he was done after his surgery because it completely removed his greatest weapon.

Papers in NZ today said that Tua has added leg strength and conditioning so that he can improve his stamina and punch outtage. This from Chris Martin, his trainer. Also developing a major OHR.

Diehard- which article talked about the work on the OHR? Or was that in your own discussions with Team Tua??

Why not just bring back Joe Bugner? If Tua gets a shot I will give up the sport. You are a Kiwi aren't you?:yep

Yeah, Tua had a **** promoter back in the day. If Tua beats Barrett, then the WBO should set up an eliminator between Arreola and Tua. That's what Tua wants, but Arreola seems only interested in the C class right now.

IDK, I think Tua, Arreola and Grant all deserve a shot if one of them can get past the others.
