I would like some proof of Haye declining Tua, I would expect that may be a fight Tua would not be ready for just yet. It would have to be a pick em fight and Tua has not been active. Tua hasn't been fighting anyone of Haye's calibre recently.
Minto v Tua a waste of time. Tua has Iron chin and Minto was floored by Krasniqi albeit in RD 12 and also beaten up by Maddalone in the first fight before pulling out the come from behind KO in Rd10. Heres how I see this fight going. I see them coming out quick landing bombs, Minto holds his own for the first minute then gets floored by a massive shot from Tua. After beating the count Tua comes in and gets caught by some big shots from Minto fighting back on unsteady legs but takes them well and lands another heavy shot and Minto is floored again, Bell rings as Minto rises before the count reaches 10. Second round Tua comes forward and Minto more cautious now only throwing single shots trying not to get caught. Tua being patient looking for the opening, but Minto appears to have recovered half way into the round and not too much action as both appear a little tired after the 1st round action. Tua catches Minto again toward the end of the round as Minto goes backwards against the ropes but fights back valiantly, the bell ends RD 2 20-16 Tua. In the third now Tua has felt Minto best shots and comes out in determined fashion Minto throws a big left but is caught by a shot from Tua which has him reeling Tua is all over him now and Minto is floored again this time the referee steps in and its all over. David Tua WKO3 Brian Minto
This is a fight Tua can take and win easy. Some stiff shots from Tua and Minto is OUT. The way I see it however is that Tua has no drive anymore. That is why he takes 6 month layoffs between fighting tomato cans. He must not care to fight in the upper echelons (or even mid echelons, its Minto people!) of heavyweight boxing anymore.
Likely scenario:-( I'm afraid Brian might get his eggs scrambled because the kid is a TRUE WARRIOR. He does not quit/lay down, too much heart. Tua's hooks scare me most in my vision. Similarly, I see it coming to a brutal early end. Minto has a very capable trainer in Thommy Yankello. He'll be in shape and ready to box. Yet Minto's combinations are most effective when he's hooking and following, I see a fight ending counter hook(Tua's best shot) landing brutally after Minto gets up from the first KD. The dream is Minto sticks, moves, turns, and out hustles Tua to say the 8th round and once Tua slows down? Maybe Minto wins the last 2 or so and comes out a decision. Honestly? Even though I typed it? I dont see it:nono :yikes :scaredas:
I think its guys like Minto hell even Maddalone that Tua needs to fight next if hes serious, yes hes taken 6 months off but another stiff now wont do him any favours he'll get them out in a round or 2 and be none the better for it at least getting a Minto or Maddalone out in 2/3 rounds gives him some credit in that Minto is a well known guy and solid contender and Maddlone is simlar if not a contender so much anymore.
How come you do not think Tua WKO3 is likely scenario, when you clearly state that you think Tua wins easily. Minto has alot of heart and Tua is not as quick as before. I think Minto could survive a couple of knockdowns and after all that action in the 1st rd of course Tua would be a bit tired and take most of RD2 off but he would destroy Minto in the third. At least The Tuaman here agrees with my assessment of this fight.
According to the news Tua will fight in the beautiful city of Odessa,Ukraine. Someone like Denis Bakhtov could be his opponent there.
Tua would easily KO Bakhtov as he is chinny, fat Corey T-Rex Sanders (not the south African Corrie Sanders who Beat Wlad) dropped him in his recent points win over Sanders. Tua will win this by KO Inside 3 rds, at least I guess he is a step up from the bums Tua has been fighting recently.
