Marciano up against the Tucker who went the distance with a peak Tyson .Is it fair to assume we could be looking at a TT win .?Can we say that Tucker of 87 is a much harder fight than Walcott and Charles by the time they faced the Rock ?
Or would he ultimately end the same as Marciano s opposition?

Tucker leads handily on points after surviving a near knockdown in the 3rd, but Marciano coming from behind smashes him out in the 12th.

For what it's worth I find matchups like Marciano v Tucker impossible if only because of the size / weight difference.
But Tucker sure as hell beats Leon Spinks !

This. Tucker would put up a tough fight, but Marciano would get to him eventually. I don't see Tucker handling Marciano's nonstop work-rate for 12-15 rounds.

Over 15 rounds, Marciano's incredible pace and body shots catch up to Tucker. Marciano begins to smash the face, Suzie Q finishes it before the ref steps in

Hey Morlocks I don't hate Rock .I respect the fella for being undefeated ,and over coming the odds. But to put a tall ,rangy ,heavier guy with a solid chin in with Rocky ,Why is he seen as having no chance ?Look at McCall and Rahman up against Lewis .I'll admit that the odds would probably be against Tucker based on their records but any heavyweight who could move ,jab well and have a very good chin could give a brawler like Rock problems. But like I said ,no hate involved my man.

For everyone saying "Marciano never fought anyone as big as Tucker," of course the reverse is "Tucker never fought anyone who could throw 100 punches in the 15th round of a fight like Marciano."

I will pick the Rock, but I can see and understand the argument that a big, young, durable, athletic, well-schooled guy like Tucker would pose a threat that Marciano is not familiar with and I respect those who are incredulous on this one.

Another thing is, I believe that character matters. In some twilight zone where these two could fight, Marciano would be guaranteed to come in in top shape, whereas Tucker might come in spun out after a coke binge.

This match kind of already happened when Tucker fought Norris. I’ll pick Marciano based on that.

This. Exactly why I couldn’t pick Tucker over Marciano. Tucker had all the tools and talent to be the top guy, but in my opinion underachieved, since you never knew where his head was and his cocaine abuse certainly didn’t help matters. On top of that he was injury prone.

Tucker without problem. He could beat McCall who was stronger and tougher than Marciano.
Honorable mention and important in this case:McCall's unbeaten Lewis ko win can humiliate every Marciano's win.

If you believe this, it is because you never actually saw the fight, which says everything anyone needs to know about your posting.

I watched it live. Lewis was up at 4, and the ref stopped it for no reason. It was literally the worst stoppage I have ever seen, and the color team was in disbelief. Don King needed a champion while Tyson was unavailable, and he got one.

Also, McCall is a crackhead, and was likely on drugs for both matches.
