It would have been hilarious if prior to the fight, Penn wrote on his website, "Beating Pulver felt great." That would be cocky...yet hilarious.
Lol he did as well. Pulver musta been tapping for about 6-7 seconds. I'm glad Penn won. When he trains properly he really is in a different league from Pulver. He never should have lost the first match and maybe that's why getting revenge has consumed him for so long.
I was sort of disappointed in Pulver. Even when he had the opportunity to throw his punches (which used to be fast, accurate combos) he looked tentative and sluggish. He also looked scared to death when he came out of the dressing room. I was really hoping he'd win or at least show that he was at the top of the heap and his loss to Lauzon was a total fluke. He looked sort of shot last night, even with his decent defense on the ground. Too bad. His style was great to watch.
Yup :yep Penn vs GSP II is the best fight out there right now.....but one of them has to snatch up the belt first. Penn taps out Hughes in the rubber match, and it will be a one-sided fight too. He is just way too complete for Hughes. GSP might beat him again though.
Prime pulver vs prime penn = pulver won Past it pulver vs good penn = penn win Penn looked good but he always flatters to decieve. Good fight though. Manny way very unfortuate, very good card overall i thought.
Yeah, Manny was winning for sure. In all three of Diaz's last three fights he seemed to be a one trick pony. Try this submission, try that one, try this other one...all while getting overpowered. I know that's the point of Jujitsu, but damn, he just looks SO WEAK compared to the other guys. He really needs some meat on his bones because when he fights a guy who is stronger than him (which looks like pretty much every other fighter out there) who also knows submissions and how to avoid them (like Manny was, or like Maynard will in a year or two) he'll just get held down and beat on. Too bad Pulver is past it. I like how he used to fight.
The first with Pulver, Penn was nowhere near his prime, he was only 23 and it was only his 4th MMA fight. Penn is in his prime NOW.
I don't know what Scotland you're in but we got the last episode of tuf and the finale all on sunday night on Bravo!!!atsch
Yup.....any fights not taking place in Britain is completley free on Bravo the day after the event. Good deal.

:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Please sir. Give some examples as to how Pulver has declined. :good His punches looked just as quick. His ground defense was good. He said he trained for this fight like none other. :huh :huh :huh :huh He's not old. Hasn't really sustained any bad beatings. :huh :huh :huh :huh :huh PAST IT?????
