    I strongly disagree.

What, exactly, are you basing this on?

What did BJS make against Lee? And what was the actual offer GGG's people made? Has this ever been confirmed?

But even if all those same fights are on the table, I have to believe getting such fights with an alphabet strap is more lucrative than landing such bouts without one. And if he can string a few defenses together, that will likely amplify his purses further.

So you view BJS as a journeyman?

I concede there are guys out there who can beat him, and I am not personally overly impressed with him. But at the same time, he brings a tricky style to the table, and I tend to believe he can beat most 160 pounders out there who don't have the initials GGG.

Again I ask, what was this offer? Surely he wasn't offered more than a Canelo bout can potentially earn him. So what would you do if you were Saunders? Gun for an almost certain loss against Golovkin? Or try and target Canelo, in what I imagine would be a much higher payday, a much greater chance of victory, and the opportunity to to win lineal recognition?

If I'm in the dark here, and BJS was offered like $10 million USD to face Golovkin, then I concede I am wrong and agree with the spirit of your post. But I don't get the impression that the offer was anything remotely approaching that.

Champions like Lee or Saunders need to fight somebody of at least B level to sell a few tickets, and fighting even B level fighters proves dangerous. Lee almost lost in his first defense and lost the second one earning a total which is less than is now offered to Saunders by K2.
