Why can't refs just finish a ****ing count these days.. he was on his knees.. let him have the chance to make it back up.. call it if he stumbles.. but the rules are you have 10 seconds to get up.. give a guy a chance. Wouldn't of changed the outcome.. just lame.. calling a fight before a count finishes should be for guys laid the **** out, not guys getting up.
Adamek certainly did. I think both David and Wlad are flattened out by his big punch. Micheal Grant may not be active or accurate enough to give himself a chance to land one of those on a consistent basis against good comp. However, if you don't take Grant out, he will always be a threat to knock you out. He's still one of the hardest punchers around and definitly punches his weight.
Fields was probably one of a few fighters who are able (by contrast) to make Michael Grant look small, fast and skilled at the same time. I am surprised he is a pro for more than 10 years, that is definitely not something one would guess after watching his fights. Even if he can't help being slow, he could use his advantages (size, stance) much better, not to mention his technique. Another surprising thing is why he chosed to fight Grant. Despite embarassing loss to Barrett, he could still collect some safe wins and try to cash it... instead he took a risky fight without much reward.
he took a risky fight but didn't get himself in the best shape to give himself the best possible chance. He did have Grant in a bit of trouble end of round two but he was too easy a target. I would bow out if I was him.
Zak and the ChinCheckers nailed this one. Two Glass Jawed jokes fighting and Fields got his China Chin shattered to smithereens.
