Yeah seriously, taking a rematch with Mike took balls. Bruno was elite
imo. Great jab and boxing skills and the power to rock anyone. I think
he was worried about getting stopped, and did. Even at that stage Mike was
    too much for most people.

This is the hurt bizzness & Bruno was the champion, he was an absolute ****ing disgrace to the sport & his country. Fancy coming in & crossing yerself more times than the pope at easter, he **** himself!! At least McNeeley came out swinging!! Bruno was an embarrasment & Mills Lane was appalled, You're the champion...FIGHT!!

He held on to Tyson like a drowning man to a life raft!! ****ing disgrace!! At least go out roaring like a lion instead of bleating like a sheep!! I was there ringside!! Watched the fight again a couple of months back & it actually seems worse after all these years!! Time does not heal this debacle, Bruno was the Champion & fought like a coward!! :fire

I've never ever called any fighter that in my life but on this occasion he was an absolute disgrace to the sport of boxing, a most humiliating night. I fled the arena with my son, checked out of the excalibur so as to aviod all the cocksucking bruno brits who were all as stunned by bruno's bottle job & spent the rest of the week at Treasure Island amounst the yanks so as to forget the dreadfull memories. But i got plenty when i got back to the UK as all the wankbags who could'nt afford to attend the fight just poured on the ****.:twisted::twisted:

Com'on He's a pro, he's been there so many times before, Mills lane was appaled & so was George Francis who i felt gutted for, Bruno was so relieved it was stopped, the big daft smile on his face, "HE WAS ON ME LIKE A HARBOUR SHARK HARRY" no way does that come accross as commiseration to all the 8,000 that went over to witness that humiliation.

It was a most shamefull exibition of pant shitting from a heavyweight champion who had'nt been paid off to take a dive. As i mentioned earlier, at least McNeely came out throwing hail mary's in the hope he got lucky, Frank tried to hug Tyson to death, did'nt he get 2 points taken off him with the threat of disqualification from Mills Lane:oops: Dreadfull expereance:-(

if a boxer is scared of someone that doesn't matter. what matters is that you don't submit in the ring. bruno did it both times and the first time he rocked tyson but was too afraid to folow up and take advantage. that is a no no in my book. bruno would never beat tyson cuz his mind was too weak. fighting against the best the one with the stronger willpower will usually prevail.

Boxers were never the same after Tyson clumped them around. Even taking the rematch took courage. Years later Golota refused to fight more than 4 rounds after Tyson broke his head. Burno had nothing for him. You're going overboard.

These are proffesional prize fighters who seek the ultimate accolade of becoming champion. Obviously you are not aware that Bruno for years after 89 had publicly stated on any & every occasion that he wanted to fight Tyson again & knock him out as he felt he did'nt do himself justice in the 1st fight & now he was more seasoned as a pro & bona-fida champion & always employed the mantra regarding Tyson "HE AI'NT KING KONG" he 's a human being after all & he can be beat! You say it took COURAGE!! for **** sake he's the world champ defending his belt! Now EVANDER HOLYFIELD!!! Now thats what i call a brave man & he opened as a 28/1 dog! Now you tell me whats the difference between Bruno & Holyfield & least we forget that Holyfield was viewed as a man who's very life was in danger by going up against Tyson.

Bruno was in fact nothing more than a bully, well managed & when the moment of truth came he disgraced himself & nothing will ever sway me from the opinion that now it's a bolt on cert that Don king ordered the Atomic Bull to throw the fight with Bruno. It is a bizzness after all. How anyone here can even spout one word in defence of Bruno for that most disgracefull & shameful exhibition is beyond any & all sane comprehention.

Holyfield wasn't KTFO already by Tyson. It took courage for Bruno taking the fight and wanting to fight him again. His jive talk was to hype the fight.

feel sorry for him he got really well paid to fight tyson both times. tyson was the meal ticket for every boxer in and around that weight who wouldnt want to fight him

duff wasnt his manager / promotor by time of 2nd fight

I mean honestly did you guys see the first stoppage?? Tyson almost sent Bruno's head in the third row. Bruno did give mike a little trouble in their first fight but after being brutally stopped like that mentally I dont think he ever got over it. Tyson wanted that belt back too so bruno knew he was going be coming at him like a bat outta hell.

Well Bruno didnt for starters, as is evident by his frightened rabbit act.
Also,i was refering to the 2 fights he had with tyson when i mentioned duff and lawless, maybe i should have made myself clearer. And your right, he did get well paid, but so did duff and lawless.

If you have read any threads on Bruno that i have commented on then you will see im very critical of nearly every aspect of Bruno, from punching power, ability, opponents etc etc....not out of malice, its just how i see it. Therefore, for me to say that i felt a bit sorry for Bruno takes a lot for me to type:D. He was horribly out of his depth .

because his eye was bollocksed (detatched retina?) and they faked their way through his medical, can't recall the details. He could have been blinded, he shouldn't have been in the ring and he knew it.

I'm not condoning it, i'm just saying what I think happened. He was terrified, **** knows what was going on in his head, it was a terrible non effort.
