I honestly think this is only a stunt to add another "name" to the fight and sell more tickets/ppvs.

Surely there's a value in having an informed pair of eyes other than the one getting hit in the face to analyse opponents strengths, weaknesses, strategy etc?

Casuals determine the success, how many book on the basis of trainer?

Yeah, okay, good point. I'll nominate you for Fury's corner then.

He may as well have put Freddie Star in the corner it’s not gonna help one bit!

To be fair, it's the media that bring it to the attention of the casuals.
And certain trainers and cornermen do gain a bit extra attention from media, Roach being one of them.
Casuals do actually value trainers quite highly, since the "great wise trainer" devising a master plan is a reliable boxing trope, fact and fiction.

Also, Freddie Roach is L.A. based, at Hollywood, so local media and local tickets sales could conceivably be boosted.

Certainly no one ever bought a ticket to see Ben Davison, that's true.

Freddie Starr, Jim Davidson and Ricky Gervais.

(.... instead of Roach, Ben and Hatton)

It'll cost them, but my inter round advice will be delivered in rhyme, which studies prove is 17.8% more effective:

Tyson my friend it's as clear as can be,
    Deontay is hitting your face,
The answer to this it's so plain to see,
Just run and let him give chase,
When he punches your face it's better to duck,
To the body then swerve if you can,
It's a blessing that Wilder's technique does suck,
But that right hand? well avoid that man,

He should've asked Kim Kardashian to do the cuts and her makeup flogging sister to make him look mwah! for the cameras. **** the tactics, think of the page impressions.

Who knows really. I'm sure there's a few Pacquiao fanboys who would buy it even if they've split and I don't think it would cost them much to get Roach over from LA for a couple of days.

Ben is just a padman, a bottle water carrier. Why on earth Fury didn't have his uncle in his corner? Obviously a fallout but why didn't he install a proper trainer in the first place. Fair play to Ben, he got the man's weight off, but for this huge heavyweight bout?? Crazy.

Nobody pays to see Freddie Roach ffs...

I think its a bad move myself....Roachs fighters always fight like brawlers ,completely the opposite of Fury

That's a very unfortunate nickname that Roach has picked up.

Who on earth is going to by a ticket or a PPV because Freddie Roach is involved? Get real.
