Fury will do as he likes, but I have been saying that it is gong to be Kabayel for months, so there is no point in arguing over the others.
Fury has said that he is no longer interested and intends to fight on December 5, so, barring some kind of legal Deus ex machina, it is dead.
Aj is fighting a no1 mando. Fury is fighting 15th ranked thats a stinker. Whats your point. That Fury is willing to fight some challenging opponents, so he gets to coast and take easy fights. Thats nonsense. If he's the best then show us by taking on the best available.
My point is that although a mando that dont make it a big fight Fury should your right but if it keeps all roads clear to an undisputed fight ill cut him some slack You may not and i wouldnt blame you What you say is correct But Pulev is no big fight
The difference between Pulev and Kabayel at this point isn't that big. Both beat Chisora for a European title and then feasted on lesser opposition since, with the exception of Hughie Fury for Pulev which is alright. They're not far apart levels wise when you take into account that Pulev is 11 years older as well.
Andy Ruiz doesn't deserve another title shot. He was a disgrace in the Joshua rematch. He should work his way back up the ranks and prove he still cares. Someone like him getting another title shot would be sending the wrong message to other boxers. Anyone worth a f*ck should stay away from Ruiz.
Yep agree that Pulev is unlikely to cause an upset. Im quite positive that if Pulev was not in the mando position, he wouldn't get a shot at the belts. If Aj or Wilder was to go as low as 15th when there are better options available then there would be criticism. So why not for Fury?
That merely suggests the IBF's current rankings list in this case is less credible than the WBC's. Because we all know Pulev is borderline top 10 at best, possibly deserves to be outside it now, and 15th is about accurate for Kabayel.
I think Michael Hunter is the only realistic "available" better option. Povetkin, Whyte, Parker, Usyk are all unavailable. And I wouldn't expect fat boy Ruiz Jr. to be ready for 5th December either.
I wouldn't mind seeing Fury v Kabayel later this year. Then Helenius and Jermaine Franklin in 2021, maybe throw in Takam or Jennings if he's going to fight three times.
Bob Arum has stated Wilder no longer has much of a leg to stand on legally. The term to organise a date has expired, and the fight hasn't been able to be done in a way that makes it financially worth it for the companies involved. I'm sure a judge would agree that holding this fight off for so long would be unfair to Fury who has other ways to make a fight for himself, he shouldn't have to wait for a fight no one wants to see.
Ruiz wasn't ready for the 2nd fight against Joshua but he still turned up. Its not like its short notice Ruiz could still do a decent camp. If Pulev is just as poor as Kabayel at this point. Then it would be wrong for Aj to look for Pulev to fight. Thats what Fury would be doing if he takes on Kabayel, he's taking on a fight with less risk then whats out there. Just to clarify. Aj fighting his mando is different than Fury choosing to fight a 15th ranked opponent. Thats my point.
Yeah, that makes sense. I think some of it depends on promotional ties and politics though. I have a feeling Ruiz Jr. for example, is steered by Al Haymon (as is Wilder), and that wouldn't be an easy fight to make currently. Rivas is ranked 8th and I think he's with Arum, so that would be easier, but I really don't see much difference between him and Kabayel. Rivas might be an easier style for Fury actually.
