Unfortunately being mentally ill and physically unprepared has rarely been considered a bar on being thrown into a major heavyweight fight. When there's money to be made.
Rico Verhoeven, the Heavyweight Kickboxing champion of the world. He brought Peter over for his last fight a few weeks ago. So Peter's still busy.
I know it’s largely fitness work atm - but Fury looking much better here This content is protected 3/4 stone down I think
He's lost some weight. You can see it in his face. He's still a long way off though. Fair play to him if he ever gets in his old fighting shape again. Honestly, if Tyson Fury ever gets good enough to beat a proper solid top 3 heavyweight, it has to be acknowledged as an amazing feat. He's not just been "out of the ring" or "out of shape" to the normal degree. He's been in terrible physical condition, even for a non-athlete of his age such a rapid weight gain would be cause for concern. Nevermind whatever his mental state has been. If he can come back from that to the top or near top, you'd have to wonder what kind of rare talent he has. I think it's unlikely. I'll be rooting for him but realistically he's dug himself too big of a hole. He talks sense at times though, he's well aware that he needs 3 to 4 real fights at least before he's truly fit for the top guys again.
The bloke he's with is simply not a trainer. For an actual fight he's going to need a proper trainer.
So Eddie has said that unless you sign with me, the fight with Joshua can’t happen? Really fed up with this bureaucracy. It’s the fans that miss out.
You know deep down Hearn will be trying his best to get the worst Tyson Fury possible to fight Joshua.
I would probably go against this idea, Fury's style needs to be on point. He should have just included the new guy in the fitness aspect of it and refinement. I also don't believe he will work harder which is why he probably went with the younger trainer so he can slack off on discipline.
