After just 3 days, Fury's appearance has had over 1.4m viewers. I'm excited to see just how high that number will go! Tyson clearly has a gigantic following and this will really help him grow it further.

Such a great interview. Tyson is so charismatic and engaging that Joe barely even need to speak. Tyson answered every question with 100% sincerity. Kudos to him for getting out there and baring his soul to the world. The Mis-Matchroom sycophants on this forum may not care to admit it, but he's an inspiration to us all.

I find your posts in this thread extremely unhelpful and unnecessary. Tyson is doing a great thing here and just trying to raise awareness and educate people on what depression can be like. I think it's so important to see one of the biggest and most powerful fighting men on the planet saying all this.

Whether or not you or anyone you know have suffered from depression or mental illness, I don't think that gives you the right to hate on people who choose to talk about it. Tyson is just trying to remove the stigma, and even though it might not be your intention, you seem to be trying to enforce it.

I mean, it was an interesting listen but let's calm down. There is a vast rich boxing history crammed with incredible interviews. Pretty much every Muhammed Ali interview, for example, was better. It was an "interesting interview of the month" type.

You don't know nothing about me. In fact, if you knew what I knew about how this world is run, and what our future holds in the next decade then the only sane option would be depression.

There is a clear agenda at hand to romanticise being "depressed", and it's being done for sinister reasons that I'm not even going to go into, because all you get in return is pathetic "tin foil hat" comments.

Being mentally ill has become a fad, and social media is riddled with people leaving generic virtue signalling tweets on the matter just to get likes and retweets. Then you have people who are looking for attention by claiming they are depressed or have anxiety when they clearly don't. It's usually little sluts who have their arse on show in half of their pics so defo don't suffer from anxiety lolol.

There's no stigma. Have you been living in a cave the past couple of years? It's the "cool" thing to do these days, is talk about mental health.

Your missing a major point as to why people like Tyson share such stories, its not to make people suddenly feel better, although people can relate with the stories which helps, its to bring awareness.

It changes peoples mindsets who don't suffer from such issues, it helps them try to understand what people go through and in turn try to help. In the UK for example there was this big thing about asking someone the simple question of "Are you ok?" and seeing past the simple responses of "fine thanks" etc. Such things increases funding for psychiatric care an awareness for our NHS etc.

In the UK there has been a big push in helping people with psychiatric issues and its just starting to filter down a little, stories like this help reinforce, a lot of good will come from stories like this.

Most of what Fury says is full of ****. He's articulate and entertaining but you can tell
he's a prima donna. AJ knocks him out and is a better man too IMO

we had a whole generation of people suffer from ptsd, they called it shell shocked back then. they went on to advance civilization 100 fold. not saying mental health isnt serious, just saying its not something the world hasnt been dealing with since the word lunatic was invented. he is hardly heroic. helpful? perhaps. we still dont know if we are watching a heroic tale, or a cautionary one.

You seem angry about something, and I don't know why it is. I am a Samaritan listener. I speak to people every week who are suicidal, some have been having suicidal thoughts, some have made an end of life plan, some are in the process of ending their life. Believe me, it is very real, and mental health is very real, and men do not talk to each other about it.
I speak to people who are at the point of suicide, have never told a soul about how they feel, and only tell me because it is confidential.
If it wasn't for the help of crisis teams, counselling, or just someone to talk to, the suicide rate would rocket.

I think this thread shows exactly why it needs somebody like Tyson to talk openly about mental health, because it is still completely misunderstood by lots of people, and some of the comments are exactly the reason people can't be open.

Nandrolone can cause depression, it effects the brains area that deals with aggression and reward. This might be one of causes of Tyson's mental illness. Let alone if he had been taking PED's and had the guilt's. Tyson's always had problems with depression in his earlier career. I do think he used his mental health as an excuse when UKAD were trying to charge him, it's one of the reasons it went on for so long and cost them so much. It's hard to know when Fury is being serious and when he isn't. He is a pathological liar at times and reminds me of Donald Trump. I know he does this for boxing promotion reasons, it can't be good on your mental health when you are constantly regretting what you have said. He needs to keep the right people around him.
