I think that's a intriging matchup... if it actually happens that is :!: I'm not a big "safetypin" Johnson fan (far from it actually), but I believe he will stop Fury.
This is a big ask for Fury imo he will need to be at his absoloute best to win this I have faith in him though
Far better fight for Fury than the Boystov matchup. Johnson, for all his faults, is still a great fighter. He's got a solid beard, good power, good defense, footwork, and handspeed. He does have that infamous title challenge against him, and that loss to Hamer in the 3rdr, but overall he's actually a solid contender. This will be by FAR Fury's biggest win, IF, he can get past Johnson power. And yes, Johnson actually does have a little bit of power.:think
The only question, is what shape is Johnson in? he's not the slimmest bloke at the best of times, and if he's just got up off the couch today, for a fight in 2 weeks time....
I've only ever seen Kingpin against Vitali and in Prizefighter. And from those 4 fights I am not sure where he earned his rep from? Obviously has a rock solid chin. But he looked pretty slow and didn't throw many punches. I had Sosnowski beating him fair and square before he clearly lost to Tor Hamer. I am imagining Fury easily outworks him to a points win or a late TKO/ref stoppage? Still at such short notice I'd argue it's a better match up than Matt Skelton :yep
