Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is now possible for November 28th in Cardiff

I’m still interested and hope it happens. Fight never made sense in the USA.

 

If so, Hearn/AJ dub. However, I am losing interest in this fight the longer it stalls.

 

They are when there's so much money tied into it that could be going to better fights

 

And what does AJ hitting the canvas actually change in this context, especially considering he demolished the guy the very next round?
Fury was knocked down by a boxing debutant—a guy from a different sport—and barely scraped a win (some would argue he didn't even win), having to really grind it out in the ring.
Did that make his subsequent two-fight series with Usyk worthless or uninteresting to the public?
Of course not.
The Joshua vs. Fury fight might currently hold only about 75% of the potential it had in its prime, but it remains an intriguing clash that would stir up the heavyweight division. Especially since you could frame it as a long-overdue showdown to settle who was truly number two in the era following the Klitschko reign.
If the fight never happens, Fury might just be granted that spot on "good faith," even though it could turn out he never actually earned it.

As for whether it will be a walk in the park for Tyson—where he toys with AJ like a child—that remains to be seen. It’s possible, of course, if Joshua is secretly shot and reacts skittishly to punches. Then again, his chin might not be in such dire straits (let’s not forget it took Dubois several rounds to finish off a badly hurt AJ, and Dubois is an elite puncher; plus, while hunting him down, Dubois took a shot himself that clearly rocked him, so...). It could well turn out to be a great fight.
Fury, too, might be showing signs of wear and tear. The key attributes that once allowed him to effortlessly dismantle good opponents have lost their edge. His movement has deteriorated, his reactions to punches have slowed, and he isn't as quick as he used to be. He’s getting older too, and considering he’s a junkie and a drunk, his biological clock might not have been as kind to him.

All in all—yes. I’m interested in this fight, even though it’s happening way too late—past their primes. I think it’ll draw a lot of interest from the public, too.

It might even turn into a two-fight series or a trilogy if the first bout looks really good. There’s probably more money to be made here than in any other matchup involving these two guys. Plus, the winner would be a prime target for any champion looking for a big payday defending their belt. I’d still watch either of them fight any of the current champions.
Joshua and Fury may be fading stars, but they remain huge names in the sport.

 

It wasn't just "hitting the canvas". He almost got stopped in the first round. He was also supposed to be in tip top shape after training with Usyk. This is after a lackluster performance against Jake Paul and getting knocked out by Dubios.

Fury, on the other hand, looked **** against ngannou. That's never been up for debate so not sure why it's relevant here? But even if we assume that it is, he gave us two solid performances against Usyk and basically toyed with both tune ups.

 

Fury is featherfisted. AJ has much more power than Fury.

 

Someone said about David Price a while ago it was awesome sitting down to watch him fight because you knew someone was getting chinned and his gas tank was guaranteed to go in about five rounds max so you were always in for some drama. Joshua’s gas tank is decent but you never know when he’s going to have a meltdown or panic so it’s either he chins someone or gets chinned. Fury has been dropped or hurt countless times in the last decade and is capable of taking someone out in a flash himself so it’s going to be a classic either way.

 

No one in America cares anyhow.

I don't want to shock you but believe it or not there are boxing fans in the US. Benn-Garcia isn't in Wembley tonight.

To be fair, how many Brit fans care about this match that's 10 years past it's dye date? Oh they will show up but just for a beer and a laugh.

 

Netflix was/is financing it, so naturally they would want it in the US.
