I hope i am wrong but i cant see Joshua fighting Fury. I think Eddie Hearn does not want the fight, as i think he knows Joshua only had a punchers chance against Fury. If Hearn never wanted Joshua to fight Hunter because he is tricky and has speed and movement then he wont want him fighting Fury. I think Joshua will want the fight it is those around him.
It obviously wasn't a case of anyone thinking Hunter would win. It seemed clear to me that Hearn was suggesting the Hunter fight might be a more boring spectacle.
AJ stops fury. Fury for sure can out point him but much like the wilder fight he will get caught. Fury git through the wilder fight simply because wilder can't box for **** and put combinations together. AJ isnt as fluid as Tyson but has solid fundamentals and he will pin Tyson down at some point and smash him up. Tyson is brave, late on he will slow down and try to make it scrappy like he did to Klitschko, being awkward and clinching but AJ is too strong for that and will beat him up for a stoppage late on.
Fury won't go near the bodybuilder, he got beaten up badly in sparring when Joshua was a amateur. Fury wouldn't outbox him either. I think it's more likely get walked down and stopped mid rounds. Anthony's a level above him, and Fury would never drop Wlad 3 times and stop him.
That sparring story has been debunked, and was a classic example of Fury being over generous to an unknown young up-and-comer.
This content is protected Give over, you say? Here's Joshua's old coach talking about it. Bare in mind, Joshua has just bought him a new car. Joshua won the first round after Fury was messing around. Fury picked him apart in the second round. The third was equal and they pulled Joshua out despite Fury demanding that the spar continued. Given Tyson's history of self-deprecation or delusions of grandeur depending on what mood he is in, I'd say with certainty that this is a much more accurate representation of what actually happened.
It’d be an intriguing fight, the biggest fight in British boxing history. Personally, I couldn’t confidently pick a winner. Fury on points or Joshua by stoppage. I think Fury is the better boxer but Joshua is patient, methodical & will not swing wildly at Fury like Wilder, but he will hold the centre of the ring so a judge might interpret that as ring generalship. I’d lean towards Fury but Joshua as that equaliser in power.
Fury would need to be a lot better (and I’d assume he would be after that lay off) than he was against Wilder. Joshua would tee off on him all night and would get the job done. We all know (think) that weren’t 100% fury though...
As it stands now id pick fury but aj is developing really well and he's been matched better alately. Another year and half and I reckon the pendulum would swing to aj. For me. A.j has started growing on me and I'm not as impressed with fury since he pulled out of the wilder fight. The I'm a fighting man but I won't rematch wilder ain't good to me
This goes down like Fury v Klitschko with Joshua boxing like he did against Parker. I really don't see Joshua being able to land big on a focused Tyson Fury. Expect plenty of showboating and hands behind back action. Fury UD.
As for the fight, I could not pick a winner. A lot of people behind the scenes/in the know seem to favour Fury in this one which is interesting. It doesn't look as if it's gonna happen anytime soon. Ive said it before that Fury will only fight bums or the elite from now on. There will be no inbetween. Sadly, he's currently in his bum of the month zone.
Hearn was worried about his speed and movement. He Hearn started backtracking as I think he realised what he said and started talking about it as a spectacular. I think Joshua would have beaten him, but the early rounds would have been very interesting imo.
