How could Perez fight for the commonwealth title?

Who cares what belts are on the line, they mean **** all. We have the possibility of two highly touted, young, undefeated heavyweights fighting each other. That's what matters.

Having said that, I think this is too good to be true and I can't see the fight coming off at this stage.

Perez is Cuban but comes in under Cork, Ireland. Two undefeated prospects, one riding under Ireland the other England.

    **** just got real.

Not to most of the American HW out there. Tyson Fury has already fought better fighters then you guys have. ((Not the ones that got the shot at the belts already)) and Mike Perez would show guts to take this fight also. I mean com on. In America we have a HW who has over 34 fights and hasn't fought anyone yet. UGH

Nice fight if this comes off, two undefeated prospects facing off is always interesting. I'm not sure how far Fury is going to go but with him facing fellow prospects like Chisora and Perez shows he wants to challenge himself, he deserves credit there. I haven't seen tons of footage from either guy but based on what I've seen I'd go with Fury by decision.

I thought I'd heard that Perez turned down the offer (not enough time) and that Fury will probably be fighting Canadian champ Neven Pajkic. Shame if that one happens - Pajkic is basically Nascimento without power.

Tyson Fury Back Sept 17th - His Team Submit Offers To Mike Perez, David Price

By James Slater: A most interesting exclusive has appeared on invaluable web site Boxrec.com. The site has reported how the team of unbeaten heavyweight contender Tyson Fury has made an attempt to make either Fury Vs. Mike Perez or Fury Vs.

    Price
    This content is protected
for September 17th in Belfast; the fight to be screened live on U.K terrestrial channel Chanel 5.

“An offer has been made to Perez’s team, Hughie Fury told Boxrec. “Perez is a good fighter, a southpaw, and is well known in Ireland, so hopefully we’ll get the fight on Tyson sparred with Perez just prior to turning pro - he held his own in the first session and in my opinion he dominated the second session.

“We also submitted an offer to David Price and we are waiting to hear back. We’d like to get Price into the ring now while the fight means something as there is a real possibility Price could come unstuck against

    McDermott

    (on November 5th).”

Either fight would be a most interesting encounter, and credit must go to big Fury for seeking out such good opponents. Currently THE hottest heavyweight up-and-comer in the U.K, the 23-year-old reigning British and Commonwealth champ has a genuine desire to fight the best fighters he can as he continues to learn his trade.

16-0(12) Perez, the winner of “Prizefighter: The heavyweights” back in May, has lamented the fact that he has been unable to find himself a fight since. Talented and hungry, the 25-year-old Cuban would make a great rival for the 6’9” Fury. A 50-50-looking fight, at least in my opinion, this one would be great for the fans - those living in the U.K especially, seeing as how they would get to see the match-up free via Chanel 5.

As for former Olympian Price, he beat Fury as an amateur, and the gifted boxer who is almost as tall as Fury would likely feel he could repeat the victory. But seeing as how 28-year-old Price, 11-0(9) must meet McDermott in a British title elimination bout in November as Hughie Fury said, there is a chance he will turn down the September date on the grounds that it would mean two fights in pretty quick succession. And of course, we have no knowledge of how financially sound the made offer is.

It is to be hoped one of the two fighters Fury has put on notice agree to the fight, though. Whoever wins will be one step further in their quest to reach the very top.

Fury ain't pricking about is he. Price and Perez are the two best heavyweight prospects based in Britain and Ireland.

Pretty ridiculous post on your part. Do you realise that Fury fought that very same guy and looked worse against him than Perez did. It was also Perez's second fight of the night there.

So, depending on which aspect of Perez's heritage you want to play up - should the Event be called "The Troubles: Redux!" or "Missile Crisis Numero Dos!"? :think

I'm surprised at people dismissing Perez as 'not much good'. I think he is highly skilled and ferocious. The problem with him, though, is he is only 6 foot. Still will have too much for Fury.

To put it in perspective: Donovan "Razor" Ruddock was targeting Pajkic for his comeback bout to recapture the Canadian heavyweight championship...and many felt that even a rusted-red Razor had a damn good chance!

Neither Fury nor Perez would even muss their hair dispatching Pajkic.

I think Perez can be better than Chisora if he shows a little more dedication.
