I think Bowe is riddic kulously overrated ... but he should still be favoured against Fury at this point.

Fury is quickly becoming the most overrated fighter of all time. He could easily turn out to be another Leon spinks/buster Douglas. From what we have seen so far, bowe destroys him.

    Buster Douglas is underrated.

Assuming a motivated and relatively in-shape Bowe, all day, any day, all night long.

Bowe would roll under the jab and fight dirty inside., forcing a mid rounds stoppage. I don't think Fury can take the power of truly powerful heavyweights. Wlad didn't really hit him, did he?

Bowe's Chin is mythical and infighting ability overstated. The only quality fighter that he beat was a crusier with only good power, who still put him down in one of their fights. Other than that, Bowe never faced a dangerous puncher except Golota, and despite the DQs, we saw just how helpless he was when facing a quality heavy his own size.

That being said, Fury has to win a few more before I would pick him against Bowe, who was a minor great. Fury is not there yet and still has BIG question marks about his chin. His power is probably comparable to Bowe, as he has a 72% KO ration. Fury's size and switch hitting would trouble big daddy, but only so much, as Bowe had a fine overhand right which would negate both.

Good, good fight between two personailites, and I would rather see the press conferences!

Bowe would be too much for Fury. I think Fury would trouble Bowe a little bit with his size and pesky style but Bowe would keep coming with his jab and whack away at Fury probably getting a knockout if not winning a decision.

Bowe had some of the most devastating knockouts in the history of the sport. Fury is featherfisted in comparison.

And Bowe clearly had a much better chin.

Can't really say until we've seen Fury in a few more fights can we. Four of Fury's last five wins are good as any Bowe had, including Holyfield.

By making such foolish comments you show only that you are a young man, did not watch the fights, and have no idea what you are talking about.

Bowe got his "devastating knockouts" against washed up and **** poor opposition such as Dokes, Ferguson, Coetzer, Gonzales, etc. Any top ten guy could have knocked them out.

He never knocked out an even decent opponent, not crusier Holyfield, not mid range Golota, not shot Tubbs. He struggled agains these guys, and badly.

Fury stood up to Klitschko, one of the hardest punchers ever. Bowe was put down by Holyfield, a moderately powerful heavy, and Golota, who had some power but was a bum. So no, there just is not real differance in chin.

    Nice try Junior.

It's a bit harsh to call Holyfield a cruiser. He came from that division, but he still had a fine HW career.

Also, Bowe faced Hide who had terrific power.

The guys you listed were better than anyone Fury fought sans Wlad. Ferguson had just beaten Ray Mercer and Bowe completely pasted him.

He did in fact knock out Holyfield. A feat the likes of Foreman, Tyson and Lewis couldn't accomplish. Holyfield said that Bowe hit him harder than Lewis.

Who did Fury knock out again? :patsch

Fury barely got hit by Wlad. That is no indication that he has a great chin.

Both guys barely landed in that fight, but if you are going to claim that that means that Fury has a great chin becauae Wlad couldn't stop him over 12 then you could equally say that Fury has no power as he couldn't stop one of the weakest chins in HW history over 12 rounds in a fight that he actually won.

It's a good match up, but I'd go for Bowe either late stoppage or points. However I do feel Tyson's jab will trouble Bowe.

Prime Bowe would destroy Fury. Brain damaged Bowe would probably still win a decision.
