I'm going to be honest with you... Usyk won this fight... by the smallest margin... Fury was winning the fight until he received the knockout... but he stopped and continued fighting... the fight was very close... There is no way they took Fury to school... in no way is it a fight that is between 113-114 or 113-115... I understand the hatred of Fury but this fight deserves a rematch... I will be eager to see it Will Fury Retire After Usyk Rematch, Forgoing Joshua Showdown?
Usyk won it by a small margin (I had fury small margin) But I actually don't care for a rematch....because I think both of them are getting on...they will not perform better than that. Fury looked immense at times...and Usyk did also.
I had Usyk winning 116-111 but there were 2 close rounds for me early on which would make it 114-113 so despite my scorecard it was a very competitive and close fight. It's not out of the question that Fury wins the rematch and we then get a 3rd fight. But he needs to improve his conditioning, he needs to not switch off during rounds which has always been a weakness of his, it's why he's been dropped so many times, he's an incredible fighter but at times his concentration drifts and his chin and heart have gotten him through it in the past but against Usyk that cost him the fight. He needs to be switched on for the full 12 rounds.
Usyk will be better in the rematch. Fury had the weight, size, height, reach advantage and had trained very hard for this fight and was dominating the middle rounds but could not stop Usyks fight back. Usyk will now know what Fury is all about. Doubt that he will be the same again.
Fury will probably come in heavier for the rematch. He played too much in there tonight. Also, where were his lead right hands?
Fury faded really badly late on. The only way he wins a rematch is doing some kind of demolition job in the first 8 rounds which doesn't feel very likely.
I wonder if fury unravels between now and October. Based on his reaction being a sore loser, not sure how he takes that first loss mentally.
Because Id rather see AJ vs Fury while Fury still has decent form. Because Usyk already did the job, controversy free. I want Usyk to retire and AJ vs Fury for next best of the era. AJ vs Fury is still a very meaningful and historic fight. The sooner it happens, the better. Usyk already beat Fury.
Yeah I see a stoppage in the rematch. Fury will come for him and will either land and capitalise (he seemed reluctant to tonight) or get caught and stopped
I am hearing that Fury is going to pocket $100 million and Usyk $40 million for this fight. How much do they stand to make in the rematch? The share of the money should be in Usyks favor, he is the A side now. The fight should be held in Russia or Ukraine if possible
